Well, I don't post much on Autopia, mostly just read the forums, but since I love photography this thread sparked my interest. Here are my photos!

Wow! Great shots, may I ask which camera you are using?

[quote name='Joshua312']Wow...some unreal shots - - I went to the website with the sunfish I bet I looked at those pages for 30 minutes, it is unreal some of the things I dont even know exist! Crazy to think about such creatures in the ocean!

Here are a few pictures I just snapped....No fantastic photography, and pardon the funny exposure on some of them. Still trying to figure out the in's and out's of photography.

-All pictures taken with the Canon A620

Not sure why you do not feel these pics are not the nice. you must do me a favor please. if you can get me a good shot in the next couple of weeks of the trees around peak with a reflection on the pond. that is one of my favorite all times picture. not sure what it is about that compostion but when done right it is breathtaking. keep them coming guys. we may have to branch out into " photoupia" ? lol

sorry guys but I have been on my PC an it appears I still have a few hundred left :o

the first one is the Bay bridge tunnel in VA. after you go through it you stop and watch the big ships pass over the tunnel you were just in  if you look close you can see a guy in a rowboat out in the bay :nixweiss

Flatstick, what part of VA are you in? Im in Ashburn near sterling/dulles airport.

Sorry I am in Pa. was down in that area to visit a relative this summer. I remember when there was only one bridge going across the bay. nice to see the second one for sure. been over it a bunch of times but it still amazes me how they did it. saw a show on tv that said the second bridge had a variation of only like 2inches along the whole span, that is simply amazing. not familar with Ashburn. how far from Va Beach is it ? some nice views down your way, the fising is pretty dang good also :2thumbs:

I forgot to post my favorite one!

I posted these in my C&B thread about a week ago, but figured I'd post them again for the "official" photography thread.

I used my Canon Digital Rebel XT and Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8 for all of them.

I'm pretty new to photography but was playing with my new camera this weekend. These are the only two decent ones I ended up with.....go easy on me...I'm a photonoob. Feel free to give me any pointers though as I'm always looking to get better at whatever I'm doing.

Good stuff , love the b&w :hifive:

I don't know the first thing about photography, but I thought this was a cool picture. We were at my parents house enjoying a fire. My dad had his camera out, so I took this one as they went for a walk to the garage.

Sweet! Please post some pics and a review if you can. I am trying to decide between the XTi and the D80 now. I've been a Canon fan in the past, but keeping an open mind to the best picture quality and features now.

Regards,

Mike :)

Day 1 with the XTI, and its pretty amazing. Here is a pic with everything on auto. Looking forward to taking some pics this weekend(lots of learning for me). My tomaters have been kickin butt since June :getdown
