For the duck I kept trying to walk towards him so he would fly away - but he just kept walking and quaking at me :) Finally we got him to fly lol - we have about 5 ducks in our pond everyday so they should make for good practice

I've posted plenty of car shots before, so let me toss up some of my other photography love :)

Wow animes2k, way to make us all look inferior  :D :bow

Those are some great shots all around, I especially like the portraits. Would you mind sharing what lenses and light setup you used from them, or are they a No. E studios secret?

That figher looks Ken Shamrock; and the 5th model down is pretty hot :D

:D :D

thanks Johnny. detailing, photography and design are my passions (not necessarily in that order).

For lighting and lenses, it's really a mixed bag. The last model shot (gold dress gray background) was done with a set of elinchromes, I believe. The rest were shot with my Alien Bees (400, 800) with umbrellas, softboxes or spot grids. The girl with the blue shirt was shot with my home built ring light. Lenses vary in those shots from 50/1.8, 85/1.8, 28-135/3.5-5.6, 70-200/2.8...

The fighters were at the ITKF karate tournament in Davos, Switzerland in 2004 (my brother was competing) with representatives from about 40 countries. The Brazilians and Italians were the big winners for the men. Italy and Poland for the women, I believe.

Andrea IS a very attractive girl. Always a popular model :)

That's a terrific shot! We had snow/sleet/ice for most of the night, so the scene here isn't quite so pretty. Once finals week is over, I can finally start studying more photography, and finally get around to detailing my car!

Though I'd bump this thread.

Here's one I took the other night with my new Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 :)

Just got back from San Diego. Here are some of my favorite pics from the zoo/sea world.

I like this picture, reminds me of a postcard.

One of my favorites, it turned out better than I could have hoped for.

My absolute favorite of the batch that I took.

I was going over some pictures that I took while traveling thru Canada to get to Alaska this spring when I found this one in the mix.

just getting sed to her now...

Patrick, that's purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) in your pic, an exotic invasive species of wetland areas. It's a pretty plant, but the best thing to do with it is pull it out of the ground before it completely takes over the wetland. I've worked with that plant in the past, and it's a b*tch to get rid of once it becomes really abundant in the area.
