Thease are from Mt Saint Helens, the first one is carving made from the volcanic ash... pretty cool if you ask me, the others are from the blast area . keep in mind that some of these areas are still barren from 25 years ago. all were taken with my simple digital in auto mode :o

Yea im also looking at the Nikon D80, and the Canon XTi and the Canon 30D. Probably gonna pull the trigger this christmas for one, just researching as much as I can before then. Right now for the price the XTi is looking real good, which allow a little more money for another lens and filters.

I always apply new things to her car looking to bring out the wetness and flake, and she loved it after M21 so she has her own bottle at her house too now for when she wants to wash her car and wax it. She doesnt think Im so crazy anymore with all my car products, and applying Z10 to her interior made her shush her mouth about that UPS delivery :) She tells me which products I should use now!

I hope you visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium while you were there!

Hey what is up.. long time no reply from me lol ! actually we did take some pics at the aquaruim. been there twice and love it :2thumbs: my favorite might be watching the otters, they are fun to watch. they seem to like to perform for people. the outer bay tank has some awesome fish in it , large tun and an ocean sunfish, did you ever see one ?

heard they can get up to a 5,000 lbs. check out the last link with the info about half way down the page.they look like a dinosaur with fins. the only thing about the time we were there is that we missed the great white by two or three weeks. that aquarium kicks a**.

[quote name='jfelbab']Going back again next week. I love the jellies.

Yes they are cool, never knew there were so many kinds of them. my favs are the ones that light up and change colors. they remind me of the creatures in the movie the Abyss :2thumbs: have to admit the penguins are pretty neat as well. Whitemax would have enjoyed the kayaking as we saw people enjoying the view around the aquarium that was as well. my wife said that we must do the kayak deal next time we are out there. will try to get the pics from Monterey posted in the next few days.

The otters always seem to be performing. IIRC, they often go insane from doing the same thing over and over and over, every day. :(

I have seen pics of ocean sunfish, and I believe I saw one at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport last month. Strange looking fish for sure. I did have the privilege of walking through the shark tank (there's a glass tunnel going directly through the tank), so I was able to see various sharks up close from every angle...very cool.

Wow...some unreal shots - - I went to the website with the sunfish I bet I looked at those pages for 30 minutes, it is unreal some of the things I dont even know exist! Crazy to think about such creatures in the ocean!

Here are a few pictures I just snapped....No fantastic photography, and pardon the funny exposure on some of them. Still trying to figure out the in's and out's of photography.
