Peyton Manning is nothing like what you think.

Have you read any of Shaun Kings other work?

He seems to have an agenda.

Have you read the other side of this story, or just Mr. Kings version, with selected information from the "investigation"?

JRock-
To some of us, there seems to be an agenda with Mr. King.

Please dont personally attack me for having a different opinion than you on a matter that neither of us have any connection to whatsoever.
Now, I'd understand if we were talking about glazes or something, but C'mon! :D

Really? The other poster merely provided a different perspective on the topic and now he has to reevaluate his critical thinking?

Seeing how angry you get about Manning makes me wonder what it's like to be someone you have a personal disagreement with!

Wow, someone got his knickers in a bunch pretty quickly. This story was before social media. Go find the 74 page court deposition. If you have half a brain you have to wonder what happened. Sounds like a Denver fan to me.

Tell me what the agenda is then... Also, he isn't the only one writing about it. Thereve been a few articles lately, all referencing the same facts. There's a couple articles on ESPN today. I fail to see what the notion of an agenda from King has to do with it. It's just further excuse making for Manning.

A $300,000 settlement payoff by the campus is a bunch of scholarships to protect one player. Football is big money in the college game.

It is what it is. Manning at 20 was screwing around in a male dominated locker room. He did something he shouldn't have done. The school paid to keep it quiet. I'm old school and I STILL don't think women should be in male locker rooms or men in female locker rooms. Don't put yourself in positions where something bad can happen. I agree he should not have tea bagged the girl. He did it. We all make bad decisions. I'm just glad I'm not a public figure where people will keep dragging up crazy crap I did when I was 20.

Id feel a lot differently if he'd own up and use his stature and reputation to try and amend the situation.

Jrock645 -

Yes, I agree with your post above...

But we do not know if he has gone to the Dr. and apologized, made restitution, and asked her to please forgive him sometime...
Perhaps he did - we don't know...

Perhaps he did and the Dr. decided to not drag this all up again and make all of mankind part of it, and publicize it..
What would be the high road here ???

Thanks goodness our Savior hates the sin but still loves the sinner, and hopes that he/she will confess with a broken heart, make restitution, seek forgiveness, and repent... and He waits patiently, lovingly, for all of us to come home...

It appears to me, that the Dr. has always chosen the high road.

Well said as usual

Well sure we know, after all, I'm sure Shaun King knows for sure and would surely have told us if Peyton had done so ;)

I agree with the people saying he was young and dumb. Made a poor decision and there was a cover-up, those always lead to more lies and excuses. That's why just owning up when it happens is the easiest thing to do in the long run. To call him a bad person is narrow-minded imo. There are plenty of examples of him going out of his way to help others discreetly you can find since the topic seems to interest you JROCK. There are only a handful of people that know the entire story and I don't expect to ever be privy to it, so I will leave the judging to the only One worthy.
