Hiya Guys,

I have done a search but didnt have much luck so please dont flame me. I have just ordered the PC7424 and some pads, but wondering where in the UK I can order PADS for my PC.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I have to say I am very very very nervous about using my PC. My car is a year old now and I am very obsesive about it, its silverish in colour and no real visable swirls, so I still have some research to do on what I should and shouldnt use. I tend to use meguiars gold class liquid wax, and stage 2 polish at the moment, and I am very happy. So need to look for something like this to use with the PC.

One of the great things about the PC is that it is difficult (but not impossible) to damage the paint. Easy to use and very effective, in fact my biggest regret with the PC is not buying one earlier

Welcome to Autopia.

Use a polishing pad with any non-abrasive product if you're unsure... something like #9, AIO, Poorboys PwC to name just three.

As Lowejackson says, it's pretty damn hard to mess up your paint with the PC.

Welcome to Autopia Dale,

the general thought of everyone on here is once you've used a P.C. there's no going back. I was going to order one a couple of weeks ago, unfortunately a new washing machine was needed instead

Where did you get it from and how much was it if you dont mind me asking?

My Dad is over in the states at the moment, so I ordered the PC from Amazon, and the pads from here and got them delivered to where he is staying. I then bought the transformer and cable from screwfix online.

Welcome to autopia Barry.

A quick guide to pads for you.

Meguiars lambswool - heavy cutting

Meguiars purple foam - cutting

Meguiars yellow foam - polishing

Meguiars beige foam - finishing

Sonus yellow - cutting

Sonus blue - polishing

Sonus white - finishing

Lake Country orange - cutting

Lake Country white - polishing

Personally I tend to stick with the polishing pads on my own cars and I've rarely used anything else on the paid details I do.

Serious Performance can supply the Meguiars pads, Autopia the Sonus/LC.

Others are available in the USA and I'm about to try Propel (GB anyone?? ;) ) - I've used those available from Machine Mart (£3-5.00) but only with my rotary when I refurbished my wheels so I can't comment on their performance with the PC.

Hope this helps.:xyxthumbs
