Optimum Poli-Seal

I've only used it with the OCW and the NB. Both looked great. I'm going to try it with ClearKote carnuba wax this weekend.
 
I received my Poli-Seal last week from Exceldetail and got to put it to a quick test. . . no pictures. :rolleyes:



A buddy of mine just got back from a 2500 mile (road) trip in his silver VW R32. The thing was nasty. Dirt, bugs and the unknown from many different states. Prior to him leaving, I had been washing the R32 biweekly and it was clay/sealed in mid-July.



Friday afternoon I washed and clayed the car. The clay marred in a few places and the paint overall had very slight swirls approaching. With one fat line across an orange P2 at 1200 bumped to 1400 with medium then light pressure per panel, all minor defects were resolved. That was Friday eve. I ran out of steam and didn't get to polish the front airdam or rear hatch. He didn't drive it but it did sit out for two days, including last night.



I arrived this morning while it was still foggy and the moisture on the car had mild surface tension, but uniform beading throughout. I re-washed (,dried with absolute ease) and polished out the rest of the paint. The finish is soft. It feels very much like a carnauba would. PS is super easy to use, not a fleck o' dust, and the remainders this morning did fine being worked in the sun. I would say corrective abilities are on par with FPII or VM. I did not test the level of filling. Silver popped super nice!



I topped it with AW. We'll see about the protection but I don't expect more than six weeks on a garaged DD. . . which is beside the purpose of this product, IMO. I'll be keeping my gallon. :bigups

Trying to figure out how to be done with paste waxes and still get that awesome finish.

I have topped it with AJT and the OCW/CJ mix and in both cases it turned out great. :)

:nixweiss I have never used #21. My understanding though, the only cleaning ability #21 has is just enough to ensure proper bonding while OPS has true polishing/cleaning ability.
