Optimum Poli-Seal

What type of durability does this one step product offer?

What do you tell your customer?

What type of sealant (acrylic - amino-functional)?

Appearance similiar to what AIO/Werkstatt or UPP?

Will they offer smaller sizes for us hobbyist and friends/family/associates detailers?

Sounds great for the wash/polish quickie customers who just desires a clean and shiny vehicle!

Has anyone tried both Opti-Seal and Meg's #66? I do a lot of one-step work these days (aircraft), and while I've been quite happy with #66, I'm always looking for something better.

So how well does it protect? Can one top with a Carnauba right after? Is it somewhat of a replacement for a Glaze, but with alot more (Machine) cut and protection?

Suitable for the new higher cutting Opt Compounds?

Scott,

Can you compare this to Werkstatt Prime? Did you ever use Prime:Strong? Does Opti-Seal have paint cleaning ability...I haven't really read that it does or not.

Opt-Seal has polishing ability so it stands to reason it also has cleaning ability. The slickness and gloss are comparible to Prime but it has better depth.

I haven't used it long enough to know, I have it on both ONR and conventionally washed vehicles so only time will tell. Anthony told me he has had it on vehicles for a couple months now and they are holding up well.

Most don't care what I use as long as their vehicle looks good. Those who ask, I tell them it is a new polish and sealant from a trusted manufacturer, and that it is best suited for vehicles in already good condition (as a one step) or as a final polish and sealant that saves me a step and them some money.

I have no idea, last I heard there was both sealant and carnauba content but that might have been a beta version.

Probably closer to Clearkote's Carnauba Moose since it does deepen the color noticably.

I have heard it may be released in a smaller size, depending on demand.

It is that and also a beauty product. Good as a one step product or as the final two steps rolled into one on a multi-step detail.

I've used it with the orange light cutting and the white polishing pad. Both ways have worked well. I've used this on about 7 cars now. It finishes off really nice and leaves a very slick feel. I think this is going to be a huge hit! This product saves me a lot of time. I'm more than happy with it!

I was hoping it was wax-free so that it could be used as a pre-sealant quik mild cleanser/polish like AIO and Prime. :(

I am not sure if there is wax content in the production version. However, if there is, Poli-seal would be an excellent base for carnaubas.

Seeing as though this is sorta like an LSP what type of machine r u using?

I've used my Cyclo with the white finishing pads and my PC with the blue Propel finishing pad.

So let me get this right since I am new to car care. I have read the guide from Autopia and there are just so many products out there!!! I want to know what I plan to do is sufficient. I plan to get some ONR and this Optimum Poli-Seal and a clay bar. As far as I understand from what I read, I will clean my car with ONR first then clay bar it, and then I use the Optimum Poli-Seal? Is this enough to give a good shine that last? Or I need more products like the Klasses SG. Does this Optimum Poli-Seal keep the dust away so the shine won't look like crap the next day? Sorry for all those question, and thank you in advance.

You have the steps correct. Wash, clay, and then Poli-Seal. The ONR can be used as your wash, clay lube and quick detailer. The Poli-Seal finishes really well and stays looking good for a while. I haven't gotten to see long term durability yet since the product is so new. It feels really slick too!

It can be applied by hand or the a pc or rotary. It actually works great any way you do it. With the pc just work it in like a polish.

What do you think about toping it with something like AJT (or does it not need another layer of sealant) and then that OCW/CJ mix (or aquawax since I still have a bottle and a half left)

Trying to figure out how to be done with paste waxes and still get that awesome finish.
