Opti-seal Grabbing On the Paint?

I too used a straight line. For me, it seemed a bit easier and less grabby that way. I still need to use the product a bit more to get the learning curve down. The area that is streaking for me is the area where I had sprayed the OS onto the panel.

So how does OS compare to Zaino CS?

Is that a fair comparison?

Ok, after doing 6-7 various color cars with OS and maybe a few more than that with CS this is what I find. key word being " I ", I don't wish to or think I am speaking for anyone but myself. next I am not a volume detailer .I do not do this for a living only to support my detailing habit and for love of the game. I do not get ANY product for free nor do I have any ties with any company.

Price OS that obvious

Looks subjective I don't care what some may say that OS looks better "I" don't find that

both look great.

Streaking for Me OS streaks way more than CS no matter how I use. I usually need a

QD to finish off. When CS streaks its easily wipes away with a MF.

Durability We will have to see ( If I had to make a guess ,I bet I know which one )

Applicator CS The foam applicators are not very good in my opinion.

Versatility CS I can apply to eveything from Glass to rims to trim.

Ease of inital application is a tie.

Just a side note- When I am done with the CS applicator I put it in a small plastic ziploc

I do the same with the OS applicator. I find the OS applicator has white

dried substance attached to it and the bag has turned a little orange.

The CS applicator has significantly less or almost no dried residue.

Is it the applicator or the product :nixweiss

This is my observations from my testing . People can say what they wish this is how they perform for me. My honest opinion. Both do the job it's a matter of preference.

Hey Dogma, why don't you wash the OOS applicators? They don't need the *strange* storing method.

I got my first streaky application with OOS, but it was WAAAY too much product on the initial wipe. Try to use even less. I tried to pump juuust-a-lil', but it was still too much...

I have found it is grabby because the optiseal is evaporating very fast out of the foam applicator, have had no grabbing issues when i have used mf or cotton applicators, you use more product, but application is smoother.

I just came in from washing my daily driver and it has several coats of OS on it. Actually I had two neighbours come to me and ask what I've done to the paint cause it has never looked better. It sure has made the metallic pop.

It was a pleasure to wash it the way the water flooded off the surface.

I haven't experienced any bad grabbing of Opti-Seal in my (very) limited usage. Once it is on the paint the applicator just slides like it's on oil until the product dissappears.
