Yes, when it's humid, it has a difficult time buffing off. It kind of just smears around. I use one MF to spread it on, and another to buff it off before it dries.

Thanks! What kind of towels do you use? I have the same problem and use a second plush towel to buff, but it is anotther Shamrock. Maybe I should try a different type to buff with..

:nixweiss I don't really have a problem with it. Try using less or let it haze and then wipe off.

I'm going to try to use the Megs QD bottle (fine mist). I have noticed that my smearing problems happens at the end of the application and when my mf is not as dry (but it's not soaked either).

Thanks Scott.

^^ For both towels, I use a good quality MF. I think what's more important is the quantity that you spray on a panel. To give you a good example of how much I used, upon completion of my car, I could barely notice any liquid missing from the bottle. I seriously think I could get 30+ applications with a single bottle. I used maybe 2 sprays on the hood, two on the roof (moon roof equipped) 1 1/2 on the trunk, 1/2 on each fender, and, maybe 1 on each door. A little will spread a very, very, long way.

Thanks for all the great info shared on this thread guys!!

Remember a QD is for cleaning and a spray wax for waxing. Don't assume that a spray wax has enough lubrication for cleaning dust and light dirt.

I have always loved OCW on lighter colors, especially silver. Paint looks great, nice work!!

What ratio of OID to OCW? TIA

Personally I add OCW to OID but it will work the other way too.

From Anthony Orosco

`OCW can be used like OID but only on really light dust....such as on display cars. OID has properties which help in lifting up debris on the cars surface which makes it safer to remove.

Then for heavier grime switch to ONR.

Now if you like mix in some OCW with your OID.....try 5 parts OID to 1 part OCW. This should give you a safe cleaner plus enhanced protection.`

Yes, technically it can be done, but there is no point in adding OID to OCW. OCW is exceptionally slick already, so the dilution of the actives will result in limited durability.

Remember, OCW is a spray wax, not a QD.

But if you want to enhance the protection of your weekly QD routine, then the 5:1 OID/OCW mix is great.

I was replying to the question- `What is the ideal dilution for OCW? I think it would be user much user friendly if diluted` and presumed he would already realise any dilution reduces durability. :)
