Don't they ask for the reciept for returns at walmart? If they did surely the would have seen that it came in a kit.

If they work like Home Depot, they do not require a reciept for store credit. They only require a reciept for refunds.

Pretty good scam HUH!!! :think2

So let me see if I understand you guys. It's not ok to steal from a small business but it's fine if you steal from Walmart.

Seems to me you are either an honest person or you are not. Stealing is stealing no matter who you steal from. You either are a thief or your are not. Character is something you either have or have not. If you have no character it is not because someone stole it from you... you stole it from yourself.

You don't think your petty thievery affects anyone? In 2007 more than $3 Billion was stolen from Walmart. That translates to higher prices for everyone.

No kits at the Walmart Supercenter in Rosemead.

So far the only places in SoCal I know of is the one in Anaheim and the Pomona store that BigAl3 mentioned.

Wow, still not available huh? You check the one in Monrovia yet?

They probably looked at it as working the system. Not that I agree with it (because it does affect the prices for all of us), but a store as large as Walmart should have it in their best intrest to close loopholes like this. That however is beyound the scope of this thread though.

That one is a bit out of my way, so maybe a closer member can check. I usually go to the Long Beach Towne Center Walmart, Cerritos Walmart, or La Habra Walmart. Once in awhile I'll head out to the Rosemead Supercenter Walmart, but that's about as far as I go. So far none of these stores carry the NXT 2.0 kit. I've given up. I had a chance to buy some at the Anaheim Walmart but talked myself out of it as I figured I'd rather save the $25 towards a Flex or something more useful than having more products I'll never use up.

If any of you SoCal residents head out to Vegas, their Supercenter Walmart on Charleston had some in stock while I was there a few weeks ago.

Thats just means we need to steal more! Im not going to feel sorry for walmart in any way, shape, or form. If you think the prices are to high at walmart then go somewhere else.

And he didnt exactly steal from walmart. He paid for everything he got, he just bent the rules alittle. I would of done the same thing if I had thought about it at the time.

\r\n\r\n\r\nFirst Time Poster here. If you are in SoCal then go to the Gardena/South Bay WalMart. As of this past Sunday (1/27) they had a full end cap of the kit priced at 24.88. The WalMart is on 190th between Western and Normandy.'

Question for the NXT 2.0 users. Does the new version stain the black plastic trim/moldings?

I had a few problems with the first NXT.

Something is very wrong when people steals thing then brags about it. Regardless of whom you steal from, stealing is stealing...

The directions state "KEEP OFF RUBBER, CLOTH, VINYL AND OTHER NON-PAINTED SURFACES". I have not had any issue with staining on my black moldings though. YMMV

I guess I didn't look at it as stealing, as I paid for all those things, just less. I consider my self an honest person, but I guess when you look at it that it does seem a bit dishonest. Everybody makes a bad decision now and then.

Back on topic, I didn't seem to have any staining on trim that I noticed.

Back off topic: I don't consider this "stealing" at all:

1. I buy a box of items at Walmart.

2. I return 1 item unused -- not needed -- for store credit.

3. I use the store credit to buy more items at Walmart.

What's the crime here? I could have used 1 item, not liked it, and still taken it back to return for a differenet item. Would have this been better? What does Walmart care? In the above scenario, they got a new item to put back on their shelf -- to sell to some other consumer. My Walmart does not give cash back w/o receipt. They also now only allow 3 returns/yr. w/o a receipt.

FYI Update...

The Walmart located in my area (Stafford, VA) has about 12 kits left and they have been reduced to $12.50. Good luck (I picked up three more):o
