Thanks for all the great info...

Fisrt go with the new Max. Mothers Clay and cleaner from the kit and paste. Soon as I memorize all the abbreviations I'll start over, lol.

Not too bad for the first time out?

alll done by hand? i see another pc sale soon. be careful that the obcession does not get ahold of all that ambition. keep studying. i know all the alphabets are a little overwhelming.

nice looking car. even with the license plate holder. lol:cool:

North Dallas now seracis , originally Shawnee, then Norman (84 grad).

Hey, the LP holder is just until I can come-up with something right, it's one of those $2 plastic ones :)

Since you have a white Maxima :woot: , I must recommend FourStar UPP and Paste Glaz for your car.

It looks good now though!

Everything looks great except for that Sooner licence plate frame :D

Okay, I've read more than I should have, there's WAY TOO MUCH INFO!! LOL.

Maybe someone can make it a little easier, would really appreciate it!

Situation:

1 new Max as seen here. Looks good, but good isn't good enough.

1 '02 Black F250, swirls, light scratches, etc.

I'll buy the PC.

Q. Better to get the PC, backer and a couple pads or just do the Sonus/PC kit on this site?

Q. White95Max's advise (thanks!) will be taken for the white car, but what about the black? (cleaner with PC, polish and protection?)

Q. Where to buy FourStar UPP and Paste Glaz?

I'd like to order everything here if possible?

Thanks in advance for any hand-holding :)

Thanks for the welcome all, lots of reading to do and apparently $ to spend. Just don't tell my wife.

Tell me about it, after I found this site I started thinking "Hmm, I wonder what this kind of wax would look like...hey, I need to buy this too" :lol

Before I knew it, my money was gone, but I have alot of fun with what I spent it on :xyxthumbs :bow

UPP can be bought at http://www.autogeek.net or http://www.exceldetail.com

For a cleaner to use under the UPP, I'd go with Klasse AIO.

Paste Glaz is.........is.........sold out! :bawling:

It was discontinued a while back, and I guess they finally ran out of it. :(

My next choice would be to either leave the UPP untopped, or use Poorboy's Nattys Wax over it. UPP looks great by itself though. You may find that it will produce just the look you are looking for...

Here it is at UPPx2, and under cloudy skies...

And here it is again in the shade on a sunny day...

For black, I would go with Meg's #80 Speed Glaze, or Poorboy's SSR2 or SSR2.5. For a sealant, Wolfgang Sealant or UPP. Nattys is a good wax to top black paint with.

Here's a shot of a black Alero I did with Klasse AIO and WG sealant...

Just some suggestions...I encourage you to try many different combos to see what you like best. That's half the fun of being an Autopian!
