That's what detailing is for! I detail other cars to make the money needed to buy all my stuff. Of course I don't have any detailing money coming in when it's 16* below normal! :mad: Stupid Wisconsin weather! Average high temperature this weekend = 38*F, forecasted high temp = 22. :(
 
Update. Since I still don't have any of the suggested supplies;

Washed down the Max again with dawn.

Used mother's cleaning wax

toped with Mother's FX. Was told it's better than Reflections for white.



NO DOUBT!! See the previous pics in this post for comparisons. Not even close. FX on frost white really makes it pop, metal flake also shows up much better. That's 1x FX.

BTW, yes, that's a friggin boat parked next to it. Which is pretty cool actually, we are in an apartment while our house in OK sells, I KNOW there won't be any dings on that side atleast, lol.
 
My "safe" parking spot (between a parked boat and my truck?

Not so safe :( Someone hit the boat and knocked it into my detail work! Hit and run deal, I'll be out $1,000 of the 1,300 to fix it.

Eh, all those coats of SynWax don't protect squat!!
 
OUCH man, sorry to hear about that. Looks like they just have to replace the fender from what I can tell in the pic. Now if you had 50 coats of wax on there you would have been protected ;) Sorry just trying a little humor to ease your pains.

Yeah, just the fender... problem is it's pearl, so they have to blend in to the hood and door and bake the clear, which is the right way to do it, but $$.

nice work, was wondering... did you shave the temblems/badges off the trunk? if so... it looks cleaner/nicer, imo.

Yup.. still one to go (logo on the trunk, but mounting holes have to be filled). Then of course there were the pin stripes... ugg.
