Nissan GTR Assembly Line Detailing

Japanese cars > greater the American cars.

sorry but its true. the figures speak for themselves. toyota number one

the corvette has a certain 70s charm. but is really a horse drawn cart compared to the state of art machine that is the gtr.

Uhhh...ok.

The Corvette variant, now officially known as the ZR1. The car has been confirmed to feature a supercharged "LS9" 6.2-liter engine producing more than 650 hp. Spy photos from recent hot laps at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, following the 2007 American Le Mans Series final race, show the ZR1 to have carbon-ceramic brakes, extensive carbon fiber (front quarterpanels, A- and B- pillars, as well as the roof and possibly other body panels), and a full-width rear lip spoiler.

The ZR1 was unveiled in a recent press statement by General Motors. Revealed was an LS9 with 620 horsepower and 595 pound-feet of torque. Top speed is suspected to exceed 200mph.

Its still a Corvette... You barely see them here, cause no one wants to buy them. Even at the Ring its hard see one at the car park.

I think the true competitor to the Nissan GT-R is the Porsche 911 Turbo, not the Corvette.

1/4 mile 11.6 @ 120 mph. So yeah, it's quicker than a Viper, Corvette Z06 and A porsche 911 turbo and tons others! This car is just insane, plain and simple.

To be fair, the GT-R has "launch control". Car magazine journalists appear to suck pretty bad at launching high performance cars. Both the Viper and Z06 trapped higher in the 1/4 when Edmunds tested them (125 and 122mph respectively)

Comparison Test: 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe vs. 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

It's not unreasonable to think a better driver could easily improve on the Viper and Z06 times. It seems less reasonable that someone could easily improve on a car that uses launch control to supplant driver skill.

Anyway, cool article.

Yeah, the Netherlands is like Corvette's key market. So if you barely see them there, it must be because no one wants to buy them...

Both cars are awesome and will entertain the hell out of their owners.
