Newbee needs advice; I have my PC, which pads are best to start with ?

Man, are there some knowledgeable people on this board !

My PC is safely in my hands now, and with a Redfire metallic Mustang GT with 2 coats of 4star UPP waiting for a warm day(s) to start the process, I have a couple of newbee questions in regards to what the experts feel is my next step. I want to know which pads are best in getting light swirl marks out (My dealership) and helping me get the right finish down to make the metal flake "pop". I also have on hand NXT which I put on my wife's Silver metallic Honda Pilot (does anyone else think that NXT darkens up some colors?) and some Soveran liquid Carnouba. I have a couple of weeks before I can actuall have nice weather in Saint Louis for all day detailing (no garage unfortunately) so I have some prep time yet.

What's the next logical step gentlepersons?

IMO best pads for the PC are the Lake Country pads, you can get them at Autogeek.com

I would suggest claybar it first, then for the swirls you'll need some orange and yellow pads and white pads too.

Orange and Yellow for "cutting" deminishes swirls used with compounds, paint cleaners, swirl remover not polishs or waxes.

White and Black pads for polishing and waxing not correcting.

Good luck with it.
