On the F-body thing. I know on the LS1 F-bods, they were rated at I believe 300 or 305 hp on non-SS or WS6 models, and the WS6's and SS's were rated at 335 or 345 I can't remeber for sure. However on dyno's b/w the years of 98 - 2000 cars stock were putting down anywhere from 280 - 290 stock, and then the 01's and 02's, the most notable of the changes was adding the LS6 intake, stock. Theses cars tended to put down anywhere from high 290's to even lower 300's stock. The highest dyno sheet I have seen on a stock LS1 was around the 320 mark, which was an '02. My 2000 Formula put down 299 hp and 315 tq with just a catback and a lid(basically a freer flowing air box). I have an auto, and with the auto trans there is about an 18% drive train loss, and the estimated hp and tq at the fly wheel was 353hp and 371 ft lbs tq. There is no difference in hp and tq numbers for the SS or WS6 models. I have seen dyno sheets and the dyno around the same for the years posted. So, F-bods have been severly underrated cars from the factory.
