New MF find

Nice find nicksr. I'm in Cary. What Kroger did find them at? Have you checked any others in the area yet? I need to pick one up and give it a QD trial. Might have to sponsor another group buy for these...

thanks,

Brian

Well, I am all the way up in North Raleigh

So if you absolutely cannot find them down there. I got them at the store on Creedmore & Strickland.

Good luck!

Used them for all sorts of stuff today. Will see how they fair after I wash them.

I dont know if this is normal, as I have never used MF towels before. But when using them to remove wax, they seemed to build up some static electricity. Wasnt a problem, just something I noticed.

My wife already sewed some extra bonnets for me, so I got em coming out of my ears now. What a luxury :-)

Just found them in my local Kroger (Memphis, TN).

They are so much nicer then Nicsand, I'm waiting for puterbum to finalise his GB to compare them to Neatitems.

Just QD my car and they work pretty well, nice size, have to check different store to see if they got more since I bought the last one.

They must come in different colors since mine is light brown (not pretty).

yes, the store I was at this am had White, Tan and Blue.

They all seemed to be the same though, so I dont think the colors mean anything.

I got blue for me and white for her. Told her you dont touch mine and I wont touch yours.

I just think for the price, they can't be beat!

Where else can you get a nice size, good quality MF towel for $3.50? Heck, where can you get a MF towel for $3.50 of any quality or size?

Wow! Talk about a keeper! Great wife you've got there! :D

Krogers is a grocery store!

I also read on the internet that this Excello Products sells to WalMart, although I haven't gone there to see if these products are carried there.

I will research more.

If enough people find the towels and like them. I will see what I can find out about getting them wholesale directly.

Great find! These towels are easily twice as plush as the NicSand, and are very large. The Kroger on Strickland/Creedmore is running out, a few whites, and more browns, no blue.

Thanks again for the heads up!

Have a huge Kroger a block from me and know the manager.

Went over last night and talked to him, they do not have them in Cincy stores and this is their HQ's.

Further west, Dillion's chain is actually Kroger owned.

He checked the computer and found that it is still a test market for the towels.

As you are discovering, color makes no difference, but I stated that several weeks ago. There are 5 manufacturering mills in the world that produce this fabric, and are in China and South Korea.

The fabric technology actually started out years ago and was marketed in clothing, Ultra Suede.

They can make the fibers as long as they wish, (short, regular, plush, extra plush) change the percentages of the polydiamide vs the polyester (80/20, 75/25, 70/30, but go below that and the absorbancy drops).

Lot's of new things going on in the fabric world.

Anyone heard of "Nano-Cloth" for pants, shirts etc?

Wild stuff, totally wrinkle free and staining free!

According to the information released it rejects almost anything, that is not caustic, from staining it.

A pair of slacks is going to run now around $60 a pair and several brands are making their way to the market now.

Watch, in a year or two, these will be available for $25 to $30 a pair. Same with the shirts.

This, golf and not getting married ever again, just ladies only, no marriages. Too damned expensive

I bought this towel from Bed, Bath and Beyond last November for like $4 for a 16 x 24. They really are plush and can be compared to YoSteve's and Neatitem MF. The only problem I have noticed is that they do lint a little bit but not as much as the Nicsand MF's. Search past thread for Excello. This is good for a B & M MF towel if you need one right away but if you really can wait, the Neatitem Group Buy is the best bang for the buck.:)

There is another company I found that produces MF towels. In fact, this may be the source of the neatitems towels.

www.aquis.com

Only problem is that website doesnt give any way to order them.

so I then went to www.beautynaturally.com/microf.html and they have a wide assortment of towels. I think these are the towels made by Aquis here. No idea about quality though

Just throwin some ideas out there.

They don't make anything, they buy in bulk from one of the mills in China or South Korea and remarket under their name.

If they were a mill, there would be one huge website and directed at remarketing companies.

After reading about this I went to my local Kroger to buy a few. As luck would have it, no MF's. Not surprised; my neighborhood Kroger is the worst one I've ever seen.

So I went to a new Kroger in Snellville and lo and behold, there they were. All 16x24, came in white, light beige, and moss green color (kinda like putty). All are $3.50 each. They had 25-30 total in stock; I bought 5 whites. They were merchandised in a cardboard stand alone display next to the books & magazines. Who knows why there but I guess that's where they could stick the display.

If anyone is dying to see one of these, PM me and I'll pick up one or two and ship it to you.

Anyway, keep looking if the first stores you go to don't have them. Seems distribution is sporadic.
