I am new to posting on Autopia and not a professional detailer. One of the members here assited me with finding a new product for the Boxster as I had been disapponited with the results Zaino provided on the German Atlas Gray Metallic paint. Thank you picus.
I have a Silverstone 350Z, a Tungsten Pearl Lexus IS350 and an Atlas Gray Metallic Porsche Boxster that I care for at my home.
Zaino has been my staple product, but now I'm beginning to experiment and am thankful for a site with a forum that provides useful product information as well as info on how to use them.
Pic of the Boxster..rinse prior to wash.
I am using Natty's Blue carnuba over the Zaino sealant on this car now and much happier with the result. :xyxthumbs
Here are a few pics of the Z during and after a session. Find a shady spot, it was 60 degrees, cloudy and no humidity.
I really need to pave the driveway.
Supplies.
Wheels are a pain on the Z..the rotors are drilled so I blow out the water with compressed air or a small vacuum.
Drying is easy with waffle weave towels. A gentle rinse absent a hose nozzel removes most of the water if the wax or sealant is doing it's job.
I applied two more layers of Z5 and finished with Z2 original after she was dry. I left the Z2 without ZFX on overnight while the car was in the garage and buffed it out the next morning. I am not happy with Z2 PRO. It seems thicker and clumps out of the bottle...does not glide on in even thin layers for me so I stopped using it. There are 50+ layers of Zaino on this car. All appiled and removed by hand.
