New Klasse

Repeat: The Klasse AIO formula hs NOT changed.

I seriously doubt that. 30 year old formulas that didn't need reformulation to meet VOC regs? :grinno: When I asked if there were any updates I meant any more feed back on if the newer formula is inferior or not.

Well, if Jeff's Acrylic Jett is Carlack and Carlack is Klasse, I assume this must be the new stuff. :nixweiss

Are we going to go through this argument again? As of right now, I think the consensus is that Klasse has not changed. The consensus is also that CarLack of Germany makes the Klasse products (well, they package their CarLack product, or something very close to it, for Klasse), and that Carlack has a new version of "AIO", which is being imported as Jeffs Prime. I think the consensus is also that Jett is an improved version of "SG". Were they reformulated for VOC compliance? Who knows and no one is telling, and I am so sick of this argument I don't care. Since Klasse is still selling, I'm going to presume that they are compliant. Will they ever be improved? It doesn't seem likely, since CarLack seems to have aligned itself with Jeffs to market the new products. Of course, that doesn't mean that Klasse may not be available forever in its current formulation, and it does seem to be at a better price point.

I get what your saying but

1) Klasse denies there has been a reformulation. :chuckle: And if anybody believes that I have some land for sale for you.

2) It has never been confirmed that Carlack makes Klasse.

3) The Jeff's Acrylic Jett is getting good reviews. The new Klasse isn't.

There are 2 trillion products out there, who cares really?

AIO makes a nice base, but so does a matched paint cleaner to the sealant.

Ive never depended on AIO for its cleaning ability, ive just never seen it *really* clean much.

Not when compared to say PB's Pro Polish, or PB PWC.

And the conspiracy theories run rampant again! Fox Mulder, where are you??? The "truth" is out there! This is old...I'm going to stop reading this thread again...I thought we were done with it when Jeffs bowed.

Conspiracy theories, hardly. Just some common sense. Most product lines by all manufactures were reformulated. Mothers, Megs, 3M etc. But Klasse is so special that they had the for sight 30 years ago to make a product that would be VOC compliant today. BS!

Well I care thats why I asked.

I happen to really like my Klasse AIO. It's a great cleaner and you are definitely in the minority with your opinion.

The BS is that every product HAS to have VOC's in it. Common sense would dictate that not every product is the same, nor works by the same mechanism. By your logic, Windex, Dial soap, and every other cleaner there is had VOC's in it and was reformulated. I'm not arguing that MOST paint cleaners don't work by solvent action, I'm saying that I'm willing to believe that NOT ALL of them do/did, or use a solvent that is exempt from current VOC regs. After all, the reformulated products now comply, why is it impossible to believe that some or one of them used a compliant formula originally?

I guess the reason I find it hard to believe is because of the age of the product. 30 years old. Many much newer products needed to be reformulated. Another reason is the reports coming back from people noticing differences. This thread was started because of that.

You know Illusion...you sound an awful lot like Stevet, do you know him?

Hi,

Just a quick post about this insanity:

Do we realize that all this is caused by the governments involvement in SMOG controlling our waxes and polishes!

Doesn't it seem a bit ridiculous to anyone that they have become so intrusive as to regulate bottles of wax? With China producing billions of tons of unregulated dirty carbon units a day? When one power plant creates the same amount of carbon units as 3 million vehicles at 20mpg!

Doesn’t it seem odd that the government is regulating our waxes, lawn mowers and BBQs! Such small potatoes!

Just my 2 cents.

Why do you insist on reading this thread if you hate it so much? Why do you insist on trying to stifle the conversation with your know-it-all negative attitude.

If you don't like the direction, simply move on. I for one would like to hear from more people who have used older and newer bottles of Klasse AIO and SG. Many have noted a distinct difference between the two.

Enough said.

Of all the things I could have asked as a new poster (long time reader). What's the verdict on Klasse, changed or not? :secret

In lieu of a definitive answer what's the consensus?

i bought AIO and SG back in june or july of 05... i bought it from autogeek i think

do i have the new or old version?? i assume new?

the reason i'm posting is because i see many people saying the older one lasted much longer

my aio with 3x sg lasted about 6 months, oct 05- march 06... it would've lasted longer but i detailed my car again in early april

now i though that was a long time... so was the old one even better in durability ??
