My Reutation Is Shot Here

Ron, I fully agree. It's to bad that that is no longer the case. I feel Like I try and give out good usable advice but now others only use the "like" in place the "rep". So only to most of the original members do the rep points mean anything.

Amen to that one Troy!:D

One thing that hasn't been pointed out is the "rep" feature is limited to its use, unlike the "like" feature. With the Rep button you can add to one person's post, then you have to wait for someone else to add to yours. With the like button you can click on any post you want and as many as you want at a time.

That is good info that I was not aware of. I guess I have been just as guilty of not giving out "rep" points.

I was thinking the same thing. As someone who ended up here by way of default from "TID" I will have likely missed out on posts from before the move. Also, all those who migrated here were accustomed to the "like" button and were not really aware of how the "rep" feature works, so weren't using it.

Perhaps a new thread made a sticky in the "Getting the most..." forum is in order. I noticed that some of the information there is a little outdated and minimalistic.

Yea lets get on that OK:rofl:rofl:rofl

I will certainly be sure to make better use of this function. :autopia:

I got two negative rep points or whatever from the posts I made in this thread...I'm devastated, I obviously don't give good "advice".

It wasn't me, but with 29 posts to your name, it would be hard (for me at least) to determine good / agree / bad advice from you.

Hence I'm not here to argue with you about it, we just see it in different ways:D:D:D

Yes that's usually the forum way, but as with every other forum, post count does not equal knowledge amount.
