Ok so far I did my hood, and all I have to say is I'm in heaven. LOL I love this thing.

I used 1Z PP with a yellow CMA cutting pad set at 5 and did it in 2x2' sections with back-and-forth and up-and-down overlapping motions.

Wow! You didn't have to step down from the cutting pad! The PP was doing very little for me with polishing pad. Gotta try this out now. Thanks for posting, and YES, very noticeable difference. First pic didn't look too bad. Almost thought that was an after pic, but then I see the next and I'm like woah! Nice work there.

Thanks guys, and ZaneO, thank you so much for referring me to this site 2 months ago from LS1tech :D :up

And a pic of my fender...I'll do some more tonight then finish up the rest of the car tomorrow, then friday my VM and EX-P come :bounce

You're telling me....:D

I just got mine, too. It's the detailing product that'll just keep giving and giving for years to come!

MattZ28- Glad to hear things are working out so well :xyxthumbs

The PC/1Z combo is great, huh?

Yup, my only complaint is that 1Z Paint Polish dusts alot...I'll have to go QD it before I apply VM + EX-P (they came today, a day early)

BTW guys, in that pic, it looks out of line where the hood meets the front bumper because I had the hood popped so I wouldn't have to deal as much with polish getting caked up around the edges.

Also, I took Scottwax's advice and used the PC without the handle...on one of the last panels, I put the handle on, and it transmits alot more vibrations than it does when keeping your hand on the head of the PC. It's much better without it.

The pad it comes with and the 5" counterweight are sitting in the box, I didn't even bother with them ;)

Thanks....I have no experience with the Megs pads, in fact the CMA pads are the only ones I have experience with...they were $40 (1 yellow, 2 white, 1 black, 2 buffing bonnets which suck, and a lambswool). They have worked great so far...my Poorboys EX-P is sititng on the car now, I'll go remove it in 45 mins.

Hey 'Stang, Isee you're in CO. I was able to find a list of dealers here for MEG's pads. http://www.meguiars.com/DealerLocator/DealerLocator_template.cfmGive them a shot. Call a few and ask for pads and backing plate. Search under professional products. I'm in the Aurora area by the way.

Thanks for the help, my schedule really doesn't help me in this situation so I ordered the DAP kit from the Autopia store. I am really looking forward to getting even better reults than ever:)

Now I jsut need to put my car back together...:sosad
