My PC just came! I LOVE THIS THING!!!!

I'm wondering if I should put on another layer of EX-P......will it layer?

Also, Vanilla Moose and EX-P are SO easy to work with.....I really enjoyed using them.

BTW, Scott, I tried EX-P by hand, then tried the finishing pad, and I liked applying it by PC much better...the layers were very thin and even.

Thank you everyone who has helped me!!

I'll post up pics some time soon, I just gotta work up the guts to pull it out of the garage! :lol

Also, I took Scottwax's advice and used the PC without the handle...on one of the last panels, I put the handle on, and it transmits alot more vibrations than it does when keeping your hand on the head of the PC. It's much better without it.

The pad it comes with and the 5" counterweight are sitting in the box, I didn't even bother with them ;)

Are you using the PC without the countweight or did you replace the counterweight.

Matt-I got some light dusting with EX-P by PC because I seem to use too much. By hand, it seems much easier to applying it very thinly.

If you are going to put on a second coat of EX-P, wait a few days. I say 'coat' because I don't know that EX-P will layer like Zaino or Klasse SG, but honestly, I don't really care either since just one application looks so good!

True, but I was bored out of my mind so what the hell :D

Too bad the PC7336 at Lowes is a sander, not a 7424 polisher. None of the PC dealers/distributors in Nashville, TN stock the 7424. Looks like Coastal will get my business.

From what i know they are all the same but come different accessories. The 7424 comes with a crappy white pad in the box.

The 7336 comes with sanding pads. Pretty sure the machine itself is the same.

After using my new Lake Country pads today, i can guaranteee you that you don't want the pad that comes with the 7424.

Well, then I guess for a mere $109 at Lowes, that puts a little "shine" on the deal, well affording me the accessories separately! Thanks!:D

Not really, it's $119 at coastal tool and comes with the backing plate you need and a 6" counterweight (does the 7336 come with the 6" counterweight already?? I think it does :nixweiss )

Not sure about the 6 in counter weight ? but does Coastal charge for shipping ? You can probably pick it at a local Lowes and save shipping . One way of the other, both are good deals.

Bob

The tax you pay at lowes would probably cost the same or more than shipping....I forget how much the shipping costed from Coastal Tool

Nevermind.....found the invoice

Your ordered the following items:

PORT7424 6" POLISHER BONUS KIT 1 $ 119.00 $ 119.00

SubTotal $ 119.00

Shipping: $ 7.50

TotalTax: $ 0.00

FinalTot: $ 126.50

So it's probably going to cost less from coastal tool considering you still need a backing plate if you get it from Lowe's.
