My 06 Cayenne stolen!

It's a wrap!

I went to look for a used Ferrari this weekend. I saw a lot of nice cars, but living in the house I live in, I didnt feel like I should have it there. I just didnt get the feeling I was looking for sitting in them.
I also went to New Country Porsche, Deanski is correct, the salesperson I dealt with was a snot. I guess its the Greenwich thing. Someone needs to tell them that they are selling the cars, not buying them.
I decided to get two cars instead of one crazy car. Saturday, I bought myself a VW Toureg V8 to make up for the loss of the Cayenne S. Its essentially the same car, minus the Porsche crest and excellent service, for $300 per month less. I am going to pick it up in a few minutes. I also decided to buy another car, a Porsche Cayman S. I will go back to the dealer I bought the Cayenne from this Thursday evening to see if I can spec out a 07 Cayman S. I am going to pimp it like Deanski, or in other words, as much as possible.

So there you go, I feel spoiled, satisfied, and responsible at the same time.

Good choices :).

Any reason why you opted against the V10-Touareg Diesel?

I was on the fence about the V-8 until I drove the V-6. It is a lumbering beast, it needs the V-8 or that V-10 diesel. The V-6 doesnt feel like it can get out of its own way.

Jsatek;

Good choice going for the Cayman S! I drove one on the track at Limerock, Danbury gave me that opportunity!:D

For a lot less $$ you can get one hell of a car!! My advise is to go to Danbury and see Mike!

I will call him, I got the Toureg about 2hours ago. Its not bad, no Cayenne but for the money, its a near twin.

I will be ordering the Cayman Thursday, if Porsche has the 07 info. I will call Mike, PM me your name, Ill get you a free service if I buy the car from him.
I am going ot get the PCCB, PASM, Painted Seat Backs, Crests in the head rest...you know the routine. I am getting the classic silver with a terracotta gut.
Funny, you would think a Cayman S should be "cheap" when compared to a 997, given it's $60k base. By the time you are done spec'ing a Cayman you are hovering at over $85k. I put a mental cap of $75k on this purchase before I saw what the options cost. But dont tell my wife.

Tell who?

Mike is a really nice guy and the who staff treats you very differently than other Porsche dealers. On top of that, Danbury does quite a few events and sponsors our region of PCA or holds meetings there as well.

Man, that Cayman S is one very solid car! After the "instructor" who took me around the track 2 times to show the line, he was getting more and more impressed with the car and he races 911's! When it was my turn, I pushed it hard! Even with street Conties tires I could not break it loose and there is NO body roll! The new 2nd Gen PCCB's have been improved quite a bit!

Ask Mike about my car. He did my order and once it was fully spec'd, it was one sick car! They've never seen one quit like it. Service there is also top notch! Jeff and crew installed that Satellite kit from a Cayenne into my 997 so it works with the PCM. It was never done before, but they did it!

I think you'll be very happy with the Cayman S! Once it's broken in, go and take it to the track and be ready to go home with a very big grin!:D

I'll PM you with more info.
