My parents were in town over the weekend to celebrate my B-Day, so I decided to clean up their mini-van.
It has 80K on the clock, and sees a tunnel wash about once a month. They tar and chip many of the roads near my parents, so there were plenty of rock chips, and tons of tar to deal with.
Process Used:
Wash:
Poorboys Bug Squash & SS&S
2 cans of terminator (removed about 70% of the tar)
4oz of Poorboys clay. Used bug squash 3:1 mix & a cap of SS&S as lube, and it worked well on the tar.
Tires/Wheels:
A2Z and S&R, dressed with BnB
Wells:
Costco APC 3:1 mix x 2 (and they still look dirty)
Paint:
Finish Kare 330 mini-buff @ 1400 (x 2 on a few areas)
Finish Kare 303 Glaze @ 1200
OCW x 1
During my rinse process, I noticed that the 2 x OCW that I applied to the van last Christmas looked like it was still alive!
Here’s a before of the front end:
After (sun going down, but you can still see the improvement)
A few more afters the next morning…
