Menzerna Intense Polish, Final Polish, and FMJ your experience with these?

While I was using my 106FF/RMG combo yesterday for the first time and saw the dust launching into the air, I had to wonder... how many of you guys wear masks while working with this stuff?

That ultra fine cut polish can't be good for the lungs...

:2thumbs:

Great question. No one ever discusses personal safety on this site; just vehicle safety!!

I do where a mask. . . now. I don't notice any discomfort in my lungs but the inside of my nostrils will get very irritated if I am doing a two or three step with any polishes prone to dusting. Without getting too graphic (well maybe I will!); as I detail/exert myself . . I perspire, as does the inside of my nose. When I breath the dust in it sticks to the inside of my nostrils and can cause some real discomfort when I stop to think about something other than the vehicle. :) Moms picked me up a box of the masks that hook around your ears like the docs wear. Easier to breathe than the AOSafety masks and seem to have done the trick.

Yes, I am the dorky guy with all the allergies. sniff: sneeze:

QUESTION:

I read that many people use the

1)Menzerna Intensive Polish

2)Menzerna Final Polish II

3)Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket

Combo.

If I were to include Menzerna PO106FF in the formula, where would it go? Would it be added to the list, or would it replace one of the previous products? What do you apply each of these with(yellow, orange, wool pads)?

The 106ff would replace the FP II.

You should not need wool unless you have some swirls and/or clearcoat (vette) from hell.

What brand of pads do you have?

i think ip dusts on many people easily becuase it breaks down so quick, lately ive had very little dusting action, i love ip and fp2 have not yet used fmj but cant wait for my shipment to arrive.

I use the Lake Country VC ones. I've read those are the best. So basically the FPII is a "cheaper" version of the 106ff?

Thanx for info.

I like the menzerna polishes and FMJ. I was extremely surprised when i removed the first layer of FMJ. I used very very very little elbow grease.

What's RMG? Thanks

In these pictures, only the hood has been done. FPII + RMG + IW 845 Excellent product.

No. It's the more powerful same finishing version designed for Ceramiclear finishes...wonderful on all others. :buffing:

FP and IP is awesome to remove swirls, FMJ is by far the slickest wax/syn I have ever used and so easy to remove but it is not as shiney as Klasse SG, maybe I prefer the plasticky look. On my new BMW I went back to Klasse AIO and SG for the silver.

I've used IP on two vehicles and FPII on one. Wonderful products. On my pickup the IP wasn't quite strong enough for some of the swirls, so I went back to SSR2.5. However, it worked fine on my wife's Acrua. FPII is awesome - in one application it's become my go-to for final polishing.
