Menzerna Ceramic paint polish

I was browsing tonight, and came across two Menzerna products that made me a little curious. They are over at : http://www.properautocare.com/polish.html ; The products are; Menzerna P085RD and PO106FF Polishes . The site has the disclaimer that there is no feedback on them and that they are OEM products made for the new clear-coats from Daimler/Benz/Chrysler. Also, they said they were not recommended for anyone but pros... Has anyone had any experience with these products? They seem to be a step above IP/FP in that they are much finer in particle size. I am interested in if and how well they work. (also they claim to be effective on regular clear.) Kind of pricey, but interesting...:xyxthumbs
 
Do a search, there have been some reviews here. I am stocked with compounds for a year but I want to try these two and RMG. 04Cobra and GR used these and both really dig them. I can't find the link, maybe the thread timed out or something.
 
They are a definite step above IP and FPII. However

it becomes a matter of inches at this level. Folks like

you or other "Autopians", may see the difference. But

I seriously doubt your customers will. These are

great polishes, and give the highest gloss. But i think

I will stick with the IP and FPII once my supply of the

other polishes run out.
 
Contact Mizzuri, he's the master with menzerna here in australia and showed me the new PO85RD 3.01 and PO85RD polishes. The result is a flawless deep glassy finish

He knows how to use it like no other

I'm getting some from him very soon.

:bow :bow I have used the 2 new products as well as the Original's. I find the gloss to be much better and the cut to be a little more aggressive. The originals on the Mercedes ceramiclear paint takes forever and a day to remove swirls and light scratches. It does work but very time consuming.



P085RD and PO106FF get the job done much quicker with a higher gloss in my opinion. However they should for the price you pay.
 
Do some searching on the Menzerna CeramiClear polishes (PO85RD and PO106F), they have been discussed and tested the past couple of months. I *believe* the chart is as follows, I remember Deanski posting it before but I can't find it now.



PG: Cut = 5, Gloss = 1.5

IP: Cut = 3.5, Gloss = 4

PO106F: Cut = 2.5, Gloss = 5

FPII: Cut = 2, Gloss = 4

FP: Cut = 1.5, Gloss = 4

PO85RD: Cut = 1.5, Gloss 5



I just got a sample of the PO85RD from PT91, and I have some FPII, so i'm going to compare them and see if the increased gloss level justifies the doubled price.

I would, but that may be a while between all the rain forecasted. I've also never used any of Menzerna polishes so i'm sure its going to take a couple times to get the hang of them. As said before GSRStilez and O4Cobra seemed to have the most experience with the Menzerna polishes do a quick search to see their results and thoughs.

I'll be trying out PO85RD, but not until this weekend unfortunately.

Ok, here you go. And yes you should buy a bottle!



IMO the PO85RD is the best pure polish around. I used FP II prior to the 85RD on the accord, and I noticed a huge improvement in gloss. For me it's hard to notice a difference in products, but I did notice big difference in gloss. So for that reason, I really like that polish a lot! Is it worth it IMO, Yes!

Haha Kyle I knew those pictures of a dripping wet Honda Accord fender would be posted soon enough. :lol



Can you compare PO106FF with PO85RD? I was thinking about getting some PO106FF because a little more cut might be beneficial for me, but I read somewhere that I doesn't produce as nice as gloss as PO85RD even though they have the same gloss level. Care to shed some light on the issue?

I knew someone would bust my chops about the Accord. I think that Accord may be a little famous around here now!:cool:



IMO they don't have the same gloss level, but then again I may not have let the 106 break down fully and that could have hindered the results a little. For the sake of argument that I did let it fully break down, I would give the 106 a 4 on gloss, and of course a 5 for 85RD.



I was really impressed with the swirl removal ability of the 85RD. Being that it is a 1.5 on cut I was really thinking it was going to be a basic polish with not much swirl removal ability. But with a PC I was able to remove minor swirls, basically washing swirls! With a rotary and a polishing pad @ 1500 RPM I was able to remove some more severe swirls and scratches. The 106 does do a quicker and better job of removing the swirls, but I just don't think the 5 gloss rating for 106 is not quite accurate!

Will FTG mute the shine? Considering applying it afterwards to mute the more severe swirls after the dealer wash, but not sure (the car is black BTW). I'm also concerned a bit about the FMJ durability with FTG underneath.

I just ordered the 85RD. Thanks everybody for the heads up !

A shout out to O4cobra for the pics.... very nice ! They helped me decide to once again indulge my addiction... LOL !
