I bought the WIDE Meguiars Versa brush and have been using it for about 6 washings. No problem. I usually hang it on 2 hooks, horizontally, and put a bucket underneath the brush to catch the drippings. Well, I bought my Toyota Truck over the weekend and opened my garage to wash the truck, and somehow, the brush part had "snapped" off the wand due to too much weight, I guess. Needless to say, I resorted to wash mitts. I am disappointed in Meguair's now because of this. I am thinking, though, of getting their "Ultra Plush Wash Mop" for the truck (I think I'm really gonna need something like this, after trying to wash this beast with just the mitts---and by the way WHAT is that super slick coating they put on the truck liner? Jeeessh!! I about fell on my but and couldn't get the roof from the bedliner), but would like to run the satisfaction levels by the members of this website first. I did epoxy the brush head back on the handle on the Versa Brush and will check it out later when the epoxy has set for 24 hours to see if it's ok.....Just about $15 down the drain if it doesn't work. Of course, I don't have the receipt or original packing.....
Also, I decided against the dealership's paint protection option ($495) which also includes interior protection of upholstery, dash....but want to know if this is something I should spring for? I can always get it done anytime under 1,750 miles. What are your takes on this "scratch proof, chip proofing" coating?
Thanks, again, everyone.
Merry Christmas and happy, healthy, prosperious New Year to all!!
