On most cars the electronics are water sealed if they're well designed.
I don't mean submersible, but can handle a splash of water - water-resistant rather than water-proof.
A warm engine not only helps with cleaning, but, (more importantly) helps dry it and prevents moisture settling in sensitive areas.
Best to drive it after cleaning an engine bay to ensure all moisture is gone fron nooks and crannies.
