Meguiar’s® COLORX® is the tested and proven system to restore deep color and gloss from your oxidized or contaminated paint finish. Helps remove fine scratches and swirl marks too. Our polish and wax combination will dramatically revive brilliant color and add a long lasting protection that locks in the shine. For best results, apply with an Even-Coat Applicator and remove residue with a Supreme Shine® Microfiber or Ultra Plush Super Terry.
Mike Phillips said:ColorX is a strong cleaner/wax that contains both chemical cleaners as well as diminishing abrasives, so it does in fact have the ability to remove swirls and scratches, another way of saying this or thinking of this is to say that ColorX has the ability to remove paint.
Accumulator said:IMO people usually overestimate how effective (mechanical/abrasive-wise) products like this will be. People also sometimes overestimate how gentle you need to be to preserve the clearcoat. If you can actually see the marring clearly, it's a pretty safe bet that you need something a lot stronger than Color-X; products containig mild abrasives can be so mild that you could use them all the time forever and never take off an appreciable amount of clear.
I need a rubber stamp with that on it that I can use to smack people in the head when they start whining that they don’t want to use anything abrasive.Accumulator said:...
