I'm still skeptical. Guru Reports tested Collinite Marque D'Elegance and it started crapping out in eight weeks.

I don't consider Guru Reports to be the authority on waxes and sealants. #26 lasted the full 8 weeks and they blew that score, giving durability a C when all the other waxes that lasted 8 weeks got B or B+. Static panels aren't real world testing anyway.



I get 5+ months with #16 on a regular customer's Expidition and I wash it conventionally. Very typical results with #16 for me and apparently, a lot of other people. Plus, it has been my experience that carnaubas are more resistant to bird bombs than sealants are. Maybe carnaubas leave a thicker barrier. :nixweiss

I guess I deserve that one.



One of my friends was on the Guru panel and an editor and I know Steve L. to be a good, methodical guy so I do trust their results. I've heard a lot about 6 month carnauba durability and tested lots of waxes and I have never gotten beyond 4 months so I'm just going on personal experience.

I'm not buying it. No carnauba beads well after six months unless kept in a garage.

Hogwash. With good prep, Pinnacle will last a month or two. I did not get any better from #16.

I think it is rare for any carnauba to last more than 3 months, especially in summer months. I think the chemicals just break down over time.

I have never gotten beyond 4 months so I'm just going on personal experience.

Well, they got you to go from 1-4. Two more months and they'll have you using a Carnauba wax.:LOLOL
