I like AIO on windows (continue to use the mf).
Use very little, only use a drop or two on a wet mf applicator for all your windows, wipe dry with a mf. If you have streaks maybe there's something still on your glass (in which you might need to use something stronger) HTH, Steve

I am a microfiber fan, but I have given up on microfiber on my windows. The linting and streaking are just too much to bear.
Bananna Republic sells really expensive white cotton undershirts. Like everything at Bananna Republic, they are outrageously expensive- something like $15 for a single cotton undershirt. I use one, along with Stoner's invisible glass, on my windows. It leaves the windows totally- and I mean totally- streak-free. It beats microfiber hands down.
Interestingly, this approach gave me trouble when I first tried it. When my car was only one week old, the t-shirt left lint behind. Now, however, four months later, the t-shirt does not leave lint. Why? I suspect that the when the car was new, there was residue on the inside of the windows left over from the shipping or manufacturing process, or from natural emissions of the tint.
Anyway, this method works better than anything else I have tried.

I use Stoner's IG with two MF towels and I never get a problem with linting or streaking. I initally apply the glass cleaner directly onto the window, let it soak for about 15 seconds and wipe with an MF. This first pass usually leaves a little streaking, but using a second MF (clean and dry) takes the streak right out with ease. I no longer have any problems at all with streaking or linting with my MF's using this method.

clean and residue free. then I apply a coat of Z2 on the windows and after a car wash, when I quick detail, I do the windows just like the paint. Windows come perfect every time.

I just purchased a new vehicle 2 weeks ago and applied RainX Anti-Fog to the outside windows. I don't know what I was thinking since this product was intended for interior windows. Since I applied the RainX, I've been experiencing horrible streaking and linting problems with my Viper glass cloth. The only thing that seems to clear up the mess are those blue "shop towels" you can get at Sam's Club.
I know that the RainX will come off the windows over time, however I would like to remove all traces of it immediately. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

This is about 4-5 years old just after I bought it. Zaino really brings out the TEAL color trim.

I had Rain-X on my windows and hated it. It kept smearing and hazing when using the wipers. Ron Ketcham gave me this method to remove it:
First wash the window with lighter fluid, the naptha will break down the silicone they use and then wash with an all purpose cleaner, flush completely with water and then clean with your glass cleaner.
Let the lighter fluid sit on the glass for a few minutes to break the silicone bond, the all purpose cleaner will then help remove the residue of lighter fluid and other nasty stuff. Flush with plenty of water, and then use your favorite glass cleaner.
Will strip it clean :up :up

Yeah something like 409, fantastik, etc. I also tried AIO on my windshield, and I did not like it either. I got smearing just like Rain-X.
When you do this, I would wash the car after just to make sure that you got any residue off of everything and nothing ends up on the paint or trim. You may want to use a little more car wash just to give it that extra punch.

LOL DK! No, I didn't know it was a boat. I just thought it was some older american-made car with a gigantic 7.3L engine! You know...you're weekend fun....driving around in a huge car tearing up the asphalt.

My old 23" raven and my dad's 30X silverton cruiser with Twin 350's.....

Oh and to add a little bit more info---> The Zaino glass polish / Z2 combo works well on the outside of the windows. The inside is full of film from my new bimmers interior emitting plasticizers. I mixed a solution of vinegar / IPA / and water, and use that in the inside of the windows every week. Works great!

i may be one of the few here, but i love EF Clear Vision and a MT....it always cleans streak free for me!
