<strong class='bbc'>i may be one of the few here, but i love EF Clear Vision and a MT....it always cleans streak free for me!

This exact combination is what caused the severe linting and smearing on my glass. Now that I think about it, I experienced linting on the inside glass as well, which had absolutely no RainX applied. I'm hoping my removing the RainX will help, however I am going to do some testing on another vehicle this evening.

The culprit is the problem mt you have. Use something else until the better mt's come out (very soon) :)

Hmm... I'm using the Viper glass cloth from CMA. Is this not a good MT to use on glass?

are miracle towels(old name)/magic towels(new name) from CMA.

These are the plus blue towels.

The other Microfiber towels are called MF's.

I personally use a clean terry towel and EF Clear Vision. I fold the towel into quarters and spray one side with the EF, scrub the glass really well, flip it over and polish it dry. I follow up now with a new suede mf towel from Target. Its their ultrafine microburst window cleaning towel. I am currently holding back my usage of MT's until good ones come out, they are doing light duties right now, dusting of my room and cloths. Yes sometimes dust settles on my wool/poly green jacket and green pants. I roll the MT up and scrub it down, and BAM! no more dust.

MF and distilled water. Dry with a suede MF, like the one available at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (sold as hair or sports towel).

If you get protectant (like Zaino) on windows, use MF with alcohol.

Other polutants, dry distilled water and vinegar.

I think the problem may be the Rain-X Anti Fog. I despise that product. It is difficult to apply and impossible to buff out. Worse yet, it is worthless. In a severe storm, it will prevent your windows from fogging for about ten minutes. They will then fog up just as badly as if you had never used the Rain-X.

I am a huge Rain-X fan. I swear by Rain-X itself, and I also really like their glass cleaners. I am always trying to convince my friends and relatives to start using Rain-X. Anti-Fog, however, is worthless. I hope Rain-X scraps the current formula and comes out with a totally new replacement.

I use zaino on my boat, but my dad is sold on NU FINISH for his 30 footer. The glass is not in PERFECT shape and needs an extra BITE and cleaning each spring that nu finish provides as a one step. I intend to do one side with KLASSE and one with Nufinish next spring if he will agree, and see how they both hold up. Since he only puts one coat of nu finish on it, I will just put one coat of AIO and see how they compare.

My gel coat is in great shape, and zaino keeps it nice and glossy, smooth, and protects against fading, UV rays, salt, and corrosion on metal. The sides of the hull are done once a season and get 2 coats, and the portion from the rubrail up get one coat and are done 2-3 times a season including all steel rails and trim.

I love these things for glass. I just pore a little IPA on it (that's isopropyl alcohol) and wipe away. By the time I'm done with the window the IPA should be about gone from the towel. This I do only on the inside. The outside I do just as DK does - Zaino glass polish when I start on a car - then Z2 each time I do the car (even if I'm doing Z5 I still use Z2 on the windows) and Z6 after I wash the car. My windows look pretty good usually. I also carry an ultras-suede MF in my console for touchups. I can promise you this - these towels will never ever ever lint. I'm not sure if CMA carries them - I got mine at www.topoftheline.com. They aren't cheap, though (about $12 each I think.)

And, yes, that haze that appears out of nowhere on the inside windows is your plastic interor parts outgassing. After awhile it gets bearable. The new vette is pretty gassy. And the top is down 99% of the time.

I haven't had a chance to remove the RainX yet (will do today). Wanting to make sure my Viper glass MF was not causing any of the problem, I did some housecleaning with it this weekend. Every glass item I touched with the Viper MF received a bath of lint. So, I'm not ruling the RainX out as a source of the problem on my auto glass, however I will also stop using my brand new $10 waste of money from CMA.

haylo,

to be honest, the MT's i use for glass are the cheapos i get 8 for 11 dollars at costco it the EF vision full stength.

the MT's aren't soft enough for the paint, but they are lintless and do just fine for glass and dash.

i suspect it's this new version of MT's everyone's bitchin' about. i've got a few myself and after a few washes, the lint pretty much disappeared.

Great, there's a Costco right by me. Time to pay them a visit. Thanks to everyone for their input.

All I can say is holy crap does this combo work well.

I am going M105 on Orange and M205 on white and it is a killer combo.

Pictures to follow of course, but wow am I impressed only half way through.

Before I tried it, I thought it was all hype. Now it's my Number 1 combination! The best compound/polish combo I've ever used. Nothing better in my book!

ok, I too have the 105/205 combo and just started to play with it. Very hard to tell what is happening on a silver metal flake car in direct sunlight (only have my driveway to work with guys, so the halogens are not a decent option).

I love these two products. My only complaint is that I can't always get a haze-free finish with M205/DA polisher, regardless of pad or technique (soft paint). On that I have to follow up with a diminishing abrasive of some type.

M105 has truley changed my life! It has knocked out a few steps.

This is after only m105 and a pc.
