Low Gloss Dash Cleaner?

I have a new FX35 and I am looking for a cleaner for my dash but everything I have bought in the past is way to glossy. Any reccomendations? I would love something I could get in a store. One of my friends swears by Griots stuff any reccomendations on that stuff as well. Also, I have a new container of Blitz wax I was thinking about using-should I use 100% cotton to polish that off? Thanks

303 aerospace protectant will prolong the good looks of the dash by protecting it from UV. As far as gloss has a muted sheen, not matte but not glossy by any means.

How easy is Klasse to apply? I did use the blintz on my last car and it was a nightmare on the trim so I think I will stay away. I don't have the energy for Zaino, I think I will try the PS21 over Klasse. Is this a safe way to go. I'm looking to make my car look nice but I'm not a crazy detailer.

303 aerospace is way too shiny, forget it. I have it, I've used it, not so much lately. I can compare both so I know what I'm saying.

P21S over Klasse AIO: a killer - protection and looks at the same time!

Both AIO and P21S are easy on easy off, and your trims and windows will also like AIO. A killer combination for a new car.

I am too much of a whimp to clay so i was going with dawn, Klasse AIO, Ps21. What should I use to buff the stuff off? MF towel or Cotton Flannel?

Don't use flannel. The lack of a knap makes catching a small speck of dirt and scratching your finish a very high risk. MF is best, but good 100% cotton towels are good too, as long as you don't mind the linting.

Little tip - before you use a cotton terry, throw it in the tumble dryer for a few minutes.

It takes away all the lint.

Ive used it on my old bath towel drying cloths and it works a treat.

No lint!

303 is shiny? Not hardly. It leaves a satin finish at best, no where near shiny.

I agree....and if you want to dilute it even further, apply it with a damp foam pad. Buff off the excess immediately with a dry MF towel.

ShowroomLincoln, we have a thing going on about dressings ;)

I'm glad cause you're THE MASTER i'm only starting to learn, but that is true. All I want for my Volvo is it's natural look, like new, and that's something that 303 canot give. It shines! (do you want pics?) That Sonax product is the only one I've tested that is completly neutral. Test it, you're good at tests.

I have used 303 on tons of dashes, including Volvo's, and it's never appeared shiny. What method do you use to apply? I apply with a foam pad, then wipe off immediately. No shine here.

Perhaps 303 uses a different formula for it's products outside the United States?

I've ordered my 303 from the US. I've used it as you discribed. It's not like it shines as silicone dresses, but it shines more than the original look of the car. So does the 1Z dress (not as much, though) but the Sonax product doesn't shine nothing, like water!

I use Meguiars #40 for interiors too, but I need to find something else to use on exterior trim. It seems like the rain washes it away and leaves some residue.

I wonder if the "shiny or not shiny" argument about 303 has to do with the individual dashes it's used on. Maybe some dashes are more susceptable to looking glossy than other? One friend of mine has a dash that I imagine would look matte no matter what you glopped on it. Another friend has a dash that's naturally quite bright and shiny. :nixweiss

I agree with jgv that 303 will leave a surface a little more shiny than untreated portion but it still looks matte to me.

I apply it with a foam applicator, let it sit a few minutes, buff it with slightly damp microfiber towel and this way I'm back to original factory look.

I'm sticking with 303 not only because of the look it provides but also because of great UV protection it offers. I wonder what kind of UV protection Sonax product provides.

I hear more and more good things about Sonax stuff and I'm willing to give them a try so jgv let us know what stuff you recommend.
