I hear more and more good things about Sonax stuff and I'm willing to give them a try so jgv let us know what stuff you recommend.
Although this is an old post, I just read it today so here is my info on it.
SONAX Trim & Interior Protectant, available in (for now) limited distribution in Canada and USA, has full UV protection and a nice "new dash look" gloss. No super gloss or "oily" look here. Nice smell too. It is also anti-static so will tend to repel dust instead of attracting it.
SONAX does offer some "no gloss" trim and interior protectant, but it is not yet available in North America. The "no gloss" (mate effect) formula is quite popular in Europe.
And for those who prefer to clean without leaving any protection, the SONAX Universal Interior Cleaner available here does not leave any residue or gloss to the surface cleaned. Good to clean the plastic, vinyl, finished wood panel, carpet, upholstery, textiles and fabric in the car. Not good for leather and not very effective on glass. Nice citrus smell.
