Had Zaino. Been working a panel at a time with Menzerna IP & FP on the PC, and topping with S100 or Souveran. Waiting for my AIO to arrive so I can try topping that with the Souveran

Ok, how do I get the actual pics to show up in the post? The links work ok, but I was hoping to have the pics in the message.

Hey Pward,

In your gallery, right click and copy the url. Then when you post, click the IMG button on the reply page. Paste your url there, and click oK. That should do it! If not, PM PrinzII, he is the photo guru!! And a very helpful guy!!!

Thanks, but that's how I got the links into the message above. I think I have to attach the file to the message. Gonna try that as a reply to the request for black vehicles...

Tep631 -

Either on a new thread, or a reply, scroll down to the bottom of the page. You should see "Attach File" and a window to type in the path to the image (or you can use the browse button to find the image) like this:

Nice truck!! Great job!

Ok, what you do is:

-Right click on the photo in your gallery, and click on properties.

-Copy the URL.

-Start a message, and put the URL into the button.

-Wham! Pic is in the post.

Also, this is how you include multiple pictures in a single post.

Example:

-URL for your first picture is: "http://www.autopia.org/gallery/data/500/9178pass_side_-_day-med.jpg"

-Put the URL into the button

-Comes out like this:

[IMG]http://www.autopia.org/gallery/data/500/9178pass_side_-_day-med.jpg

this is the code to use for attaching images:

copyandpastetheurlhere [ / img]

obviously, remove the spaces between the brackets and between the "[" and the "/"

also, to change a URL from the actual URL to words, this is how you do it:

http://www.autopia.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24744]click me

once again removing the spaces

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the compliments and all the help with posting the pics.

I had done exactly what everyone is saying with the IMG stuff, and all I got in the post was the url links (which worked ok, btw), but I wasn't seeing the pics - last night. Today, the pics pull up just like they are supposed to. Either it just took some time for the software to load the pics over, or I needed to refresh my cache, or a moderator took pity on me and fixed it, or the picture fairy sprinkled some pixie dust on the thread, or a miracle occurred! But whatever the reason, it's working now! WOO HOO!

I even figured out how to do a custom avatar - I'm becoming a regular photo geek, slow but sure

Awesome job. :up :up

On a side note: That picture where you can see the reflection of you is a perfect picture of orange peel. That should be put somewhere so people can see it when they are wondering what it is.

The dreaded orange peel....Doc is right. Although you have a wonderful shine & reflection, our photo is a wonderful example of orange peel.

I'd love to be able to get rid of that (thankfully my white car does not show it too badly), but I don't want the expense or bother of a hand laid paint job t get a true mirror look.

Question: Is orange peel always in the base color coat, or can the effect be caused by the clear coat?
