Lets See Your Desktops!

Lee, I noticed you are on a Mac too. How do you like it? I really want to get Tiger when it comes out. I've had 10.2 since I got my iMac in 2002. :(



Anyway, here's my current desktop:
 
I really like the Mac OS-I have an iMac G5 17" widescreen.



I'm also a Windows power user since th early 80s but with the compatibility of Office Mac I decided to switch and get the extra value from all the iLife media software. I also got really fed up with all the daily maintenance and security requirements of windows.



I'm finding that Macs just are faster at multi-tasking and are more user friendly. My brother is getting one also. I really like the Safari browser, my .Mac account, and the new Keynote 2 software. The best thing so far though has been Apple's local service at my two stores' Genius Bars.



I think Tiger will be a huge step forward. I can't wait to upgrade to it in April. I think it will be out around April 15th.
 
I have a better desktop now. I hope you like Porsches! I got my new Boxster DVD today:

It is amazing how many people who posted their desktops have Porsches on them.



BTW great pic Lee. Did you video capture it from the DVD or get it from some place else?
 
Actually Brian, the DVD has a 1600x1200 or so wallpaper collection. This is one of I think six on the disc. They also have Porsche icons for download also.



Now I just need to buy a Boxster. :cool:
 
I like the pic Lenard...I used to work in the building with the pyramid on the top. That window shell is really cool, it really cleans up the desktop. :)

Hmm I have two promotional DVD's at home from Porsche. One for the 997 and one for the new Boxster....I guess I need to get those out.



BTW...yes you do need a Boxster. I messed around in a new Boxster S this past weekend. Vastly improved over the old car (and it was a fantastic car) that was just a complete blast to drive.

OK...help an e-idiot out. I hit print screen on my keyboard when my desktop image is up then what?? I right click to paste into my thread response and nothing comes up?? :sosad

1) hit print screen

2) open an image program like paint

3) go to Edit, and click Paste OR hit Ctrl+V

4) save the image as a .jpg

5) upload it to your favorite webhost

6) post it here using [ IMG ]http://www.yourhost.com/me/myimage.jpg[ /IMG ] (just take the spaces out of the IMG tags.
