"Someone else mentioned it above mentioned the other crucial ingredient, and that is a well prepped surface. I never apply SG without claying now, unless it's my garaged car, and was clayed in the last month. If there are contaminants, the SG is a bear to work with."
Yeah, I just found this out the hard way. Applied AIO+SG about 2 months ago, and since the weather today was okay (~50degF) I decided to get another layer of SG in before it starts snowing in a few weeks. SG was much tougher to work with this time, and left that nice greasy-like haze. I should have clayed, but the temperature was dropping and I wanted to finish quickly:nono . Oh well, after it rains/snows the grease will be gone, and I'd rather have the grease now than the lack of protection later.
I had a few streaks which were tough, but did buff out. That was definitely from some water mixing with the SG when I applied it.
