but a weird situation warrants a weird question :hmph:
I bought my 05 Aspen White Subaru STi from Hindsdale Land Rover in (you guessed it) Hindsdale, IL. Long story short, they had the front bumper repainted (due to rock chips would be my guess) and there was overspray everywhere. Looked like **** and looked like they painted the bumper while it was on the car.
Long story short, today I noticed that the paint is starting to flake off. The paint underneath looks fine but it looks like they didnt prep the bumper for paint. I will be detailing the whole car this weekend (polish, and wax, etc.) and would like to know what the best way to get most of this paint off is? I was thinking a few bigger wooden toothpicks to flake the rest of the paint off.
What do you guys suggest? Ill try to post a pic after I get home from work.
Also, I don't know if the car has single stage paint, or a clearcoat. Looks like clearcoat, but if it's not do I need to go about polishing and waxing any differently than if it were clear coated?
