The wife's truck just takes too long to keep in good shape. The single coat of Vintage I applied back in May is finally just about gone. Rather than worry about having to wax it often during the winter, I figured I'd give the new Ultima sealant a try.
While I wait for it to show up, I'd love to hear everyone's comments about how good this stuff is. I've seen the pictures of how it looks (which really is beautiful), so what I'd really like to hear about is the other stuff: how's the durability? Do environmental contaminants (tree sap, tar, bird bombs, bug guts, road salt, etc.) penetrate through the sealant, or does it appear to offer good protection? How easy does Ultima clean up? Does it look good (come clean) after a touchless wash?
And since it's going to be my winter time LSP for her suv, it's going to be applied after an ONR wash. Any problems there with ONR reducing durability, or any other problems?
Winter in Utah is really hard on cars. The state uses a combination of sand and salt on the roads. It really eats through LSP's fast.
