Jeff's Werkstatt How-To??

My order just showed up a few minutes ago. First impressions of just the packaging are very impressive. Everything was packed with care and the labels on the bottles look great. I hope that is an indication of the quality product inside! I'm off to finish QEW'ing and might try Prime and AJ on a few panels.

My order was delivered to the Fort Worth Fed Ex depot this afternoon. :(

Shipped out on the 25th and it is now the 29th, delivery on the 30th. Whoever drove that truck must have done 20 mph the whole way. Love Werkstatt products, not happy how they are shipped. Priority mail would have had them here yesterday.

and u paid full price ? or discounted ? or free ?

Me? I got the Thanksgiving 20% discount. The only version I got for free was the test version, Shokar.

I know a lot of people think I get all sorts of freebies but I don't. I think Patrick (excel) can attest to that, given that I regularly order Clearkote and Optimum stuff from him. Other than samples I am sent to test, I pay full price like everyone else does.

still discounted though.. I paid full price, then I'll be paying customs and brokerage fees when it arrives in canada.. so don't feel bad man.. I'm prolly paying double .. :D I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.. cuz after looking at your pics .. Wow !!!

Well, I tried Prime/AJ on my front fender. It seems to be at least somewhat similar to AIO/SG, maybe a little deeper and wetter. I didn't do any polishing, so it should look really nice come spring when I bust out the PC and do OP/Prime/AJ(or maybe Carnauba Jett). That brings up a question: Anyone know if you can top Acrylic Jett w/ Carnauba Jett? I'm getting some Optimum stuff (OP, OC, OCW) for Christmas and just got my first tase of Jeff's Werkstatt. I'm hoping for a mild winter and an early spring! Too mnay products, so little time :D

I have the A-Jett with C-Jett as a topper on my car right now...lets just say that the look is a lot different then Souveran (which I usually put on top of A-Jett) but Im going to find it hard to choose which to put on come my spring detail....

there you go!

just got mine, packaging was very nice. Tried a test panal, very easy to use and excellent shine. Now I have it side to side with AIO and SG; lets see how they will hold up

Posted the instructions on the first page of this thread.

well from all of Scottwax's pics and the reviews on these products looks like I may have to grab some of these products. does anybody have any Prime and Acrylic Jet they would like to trade for say Menzerna PO106FF ? looks like I missed the big sale, had to work all of Thanksgiving week. shoot me a PM

Does AJ get slicker after it cures? I just tried it for the first time. I prepped with AIO and then applied AJ...the finish doesn't seem all that slick. It looks pretty nice, though. TIA

Hi Rob,

Yes it does.

I was initially disappointed with both the slickness of Prime and Arylic Jett. I let Prime cure over night because I was tired and the next morning it pretty nice. Initially Acrylic Jett feels slightly like a carnauba, in that it feels dense. The next morning it felt a lot like Z2Pro (without Z8), if not a bit more slick. Hard to say as I have never compared fresh applications of the two.

The QD, Acrylic Glos, also contributes to slickness, but initially it feels a lot like Acrylic Jett. Great way to boost slickness after washes.

It would seem that a lot of products look and feel better the following day (Zaino, Werkstatt, FK1, many carnaubas, etc.).

I was out of town Thanksgiving week so I missed the 20% off sale. I hope Jeff's has another sale for x-mas. I'd like to get some of their products, but this time of the year with all the sales going on everywhere it's hard to justify paying full price for anything.

If you are up for it I am game. if you decide you would like to swap for the Menzerna 106, I have a bunch. not in a real hurry still regrouping after 8 inches of snow the other day. thanks for sharing your advice and time on the JW products. the stuff really looks sweet in your pics. doesn't hurt either that a little goes a heck of a long way. :xyxthumbs

As mentioned it does get slick after a bit of curing. At first I too was dissappointed but now I am really happy that I used this product to prepare my car for winter. I washed my car yesterday and washed off a whole lot of salt and sand from it and the finish still looked freshly detailed. It was still slick and shiny after 2 weeks! Beading was also very good which made it easy to dry

Well, it's the next day and the finish is no slicker than it was yesterday. Maybe it's the cold temps here (30's) that are slowing AJ's cure rate. Actually, it does not feel like a freshly applied LSP at all...both the back of your hand and MF towels drag slightly. When I preped with AIO, it felt slick. Wierd. This morning, I gave a small section a shot of QS and it helped the slickness a little, but not much.
