Jeff's Werkstatt added to my arsenal

I swear detailing is gonna break me! LOL. Just got some Jeff's Werkstatt products today. Prime, Acrylic Jett, Acrylic Glos, Carnauba Jett, and Carnauba Glos. I quickly tried Prime/AJ on my front fender and the results look very promising. Seems better than AIO/SG with the initial test, so a proper application with some deep polishing should yield excellent results. Now to wait til Spring. :work:

Would love to get some AJ, but for $24 shipped I can't do it.

I thought I would give this product a try. I placed an order today fot the AJ. I would like to try it on an black 06 Corvette I will be detailing. I don't think it will make it here in time.

IMO, that's not saying much. SG demoted to wheel duty only.

I remember the WG crazy ... I fell for it, but no this time buddy. I'll wait to the whole jury reaches a verdict :lol

I'm usually a casual by-stander when new stuff comes out and wait til the adventerous Autopians have tested and posted. With the Thanksgiving sale and all the pics Scottwax and others had posted, I figured why not. Probably have to wait til Spring to give it the full test.

The better than SG commet was merely subjective because I currently have AIO/SG/Natty's on my car. WIth my quick application in windy, 40-degree weather, I'm sure the results were less than optimal. After Prime/AJ, the finish on the fender looked nicer than the rest of the car. Still, my final judgement is reserved until I can properly detail the whole car with Werkstatt.

This stuff is on my list, as are some FK products. I think about the only thing I haven't tried yet is Tropi-Care.

I don't see the spray version of AJ on the website. Am I missing something?

There is only one version available. I think it was tweaked early-on to make it sprayable. My AJ came with a pour spout on the bottle, but a seperate sprayer was included in the box. Spray it on or use an applicator, your choice. Seems to me it would work best with a foam or MF applicator.

Oh, that's awesome. Must. Resist. Urge.

So, is Prime a good base (like AIO) for other sealants/carnaubas or is it more tweaked to work better with the Jett system? I wonder how Sonus Acrylic Glanz would work with this system? I hear they're bringing the Acrylic Spritz back to Autopia due to popular demand. Seems like this would be a great QD for it as well.

Can anybody tell me why JW doesn't ship outside of the US?

Has it got something to do with Carlack?

I got myself a sample of something I think would be similar to AJ and it was definitely easier to use than SG although didn't look much different. I'd like to get myself a decent sized bottle of it and some of the other Werkstatt products but I can't!

I have the QD spray, Acrylic Glos. I haven't had a chance to compare it to Sonus Acrylic Glanz. As for the Prime, it seems like it would be a good base for a variety of products, just like AIO. But, I can't say for sure yet. Maybe someone who has used it more can comment.

I still like WG, pretty nice on solid dark colors.

I think the vast majority of people are going to be very happy with Werkstatt products. I got a call from the owner of the G35 this morning (she had been out of town for her mother-in-law's funeral when I did the car) and she said it looked amazing and felt very slick. :)

I really debated for a long time weather or not to start telling people about Jeffs products... I thought long and hard b/c I was jsut blown away by the undiscovered quality of every product in the line... I really felt like it was my autopian duty to start telling as well as showing everyone in my click and brag posts of how good they really are... JW might just be a flash in the pan like WG but I will continue to use his products because they fit my "style" of detailing perfectly... Jeff is an amazing guy, aswell as a local in my area... I will continue to help him in formulating new products that I personally think that all autopians will be happy with!

JW's Prime = Carlack 68. It and several other members of the Carlack line (shampoo concentrate, plastic maintainer, rim cleaner, acryl wax) should be available to you throughout Europe. I would expect that these Carlack products would all be quite similar to the line offered by Jeffs Werkstatt.

How do the QD's perform? I really like that there is a dedicated QD for both the A.Jett and the C.Jett.

Anyone know how much protection, if any, the Prime leaves behind?
