Here is my take (for what it's worth). I'm not a detailing expert, but I know a fair amount and I've gathered a lot from some very knowledgeable people.
I reread both your two previous threads. I see you didn't use the SEPC before the s100 cw.
I posted a thread here about a month ago about properly matching cleaners/waxes. The overall determination was that "all products should work with other products".
I have noticed from using Zymol Carbon that if I don't use HD-Cleanse before, the wax doesn't last as long at all. Maybe for the wax to properly cure to the paint, you need to have down their paintwork cleanser. Just a thought....
Call my crazy, but if I'm doing 3M SMR and then just a wax, I always use 3M wax. I did this on my sisters beetle back in january on one panel of the door, and just this past weekend I washed it and that part of the door is still beading. Granted it wasn't driven or washed inbetween that timeframe, but that is still pretty impressive considering it sat through a pretty bad winter.
Maybe after you SMR you don't want to use alcohol and then rewash the car. Maybe you need some of the fillers there for proper wax application.
Also, what was the temperature when you did this? I know dealing with Zymol that if you try to apply it in under 55 degree weather, it really won't cure with the paint. I believe this also applies to most carnauba waxes.
I did SMR, SEPC, and S100 on my BMW about 5 weeks ago. Only washed the car three times in that period, and just yesterday when I washed it, the water still beaded on most areas (some of the lower door panels didn't bead).
So my suggestion (FWIW), is to just wash the car with car shampoo, apply SEPC, then apply another coat of s100 wax and see how that goes. Skip the glaze, etc etc. Maybe washing with dawn hurt your finish somehow? I was never a fan of washing with a dish detergent.
Also, Mothers Showtime is by far the best cheap QD I have ever used, and if anything it makes my wax last longer. Slickness is for sure amazing, regardless what wax is underneath.
Are you testing for slickness with your finger tips of the back side (not palm side) of your fingers?
If I've repeated something that you have already tried and didn't work, then I apologize.
Good luck.
