My Wife And I Found Out Our Baby Is Going To Be A Girl.... The Due Date Is Xmas Day

I Have Been So Busy With Work, I Have Not Been Around For 3 Months.. How Is Everyone?

COngrats! My wife and I also had a girl. That was seven months ago and everyday brings more joy and fun to my life. I hope you and yours will feel the same and will enjoy every minute as much as my wife and I do. Again, Congrats!

Congrats, my first two are girls. What a blessing! I have been staying home with them since the oldest was 3 months. Number 3 who is a boy just truned 1. What a challenge boys are compared to girls. Great first children is how God lulls you into tthinking you can have more. I hope you get some time off to enjoy the first few months with her.

Congratulations! What a wonderful X-mas present! I can distinctly remember looking forward to coming home to see my daughter after work....she always had some new kind of expression or action that was a total delight....like these incredible gifts every day. Plan to budget or ask for a good digtial camera, if you don't own one, and a good photo printer or video camera......you don't want to miss a single moment. My dad got some wonderful reflection shots of my daughter discovering herself in the mirrored closet sliding door at about four months.....absolutely priceless!

Congrats, as my brother with three girls always says, Girls are easier, less parts

Congratulations! :bestwish:

Theres the old saying a boy is easier because you only have to worry about one d--k, with a girl you have to worry about all the d--ks out there knocking at the front door.

Hi mister so and so, I here to take to take your daughter out....

Well, unfortunatley, you do have to wait, but there tons of stuff to do during that time to get ready for her, especially with a first baby. Don't go overboard on stuff, be practical. Investigate carseats to the max. One of the first things we did when my daughter was born was trade the two door car for a four door. Getting even a newborn repeatedly out of a two door was hard on my back...of course I was the one who actually had the baby, so that may have made a difference. Enjoy the birthing classes, they can be a real hoot. Support any decision your wife makes about pain management during labor....I have never in my life experienced so many different kinds of pain all at once......I was thinking I would rather not have an epidural, but once active labor started.....dear God in heaven! Some really terrific nurse anesthetist put that puppy in in about two minutes.....miraculous! I went from thinking I wouldn't be able to stand much more to totally comfortable and looking forward to finally seeing my daughter. In some ways, it is a shame that men can't share fully what it is like to be pregnant. I could always feel my daughter moving around and I talked to her all the time silently. If possible, have someone armed with the camera or video camera when you are handed your daughter for the very first time. It is called "en face", the first moment when a daddy holds his baby and daddy/baby bonding starts. Try not to miss capturing this moment....it is unique and very precious. I did alot of picture taking of the new daddy en face during my OB rotation...incredible! Best wishes and we expect pictures!
