Is this the same as the Gilmour Foam gun for $15?

Yeah let us know!

I could use my gilmour for washing vehicles with my carwash mix and use this one for degreasers!!!!

OK, I'll pick it up this evening - - I revserved one.

The girl in the store said the phone's been ringing off the hook in the past hour about it... :grinno: ...wanted to know what's going on.

I made them look at it in the store and it is a spray gun + shampoo in a qt bottle. Price is $16 total. Don't know what I am going to get for $16, but we'll soon find out ;)

Is it the same one as in the pic?

If so, then great! Hey, shouldnt I get some sort of commision for turning yall on to these $15 guns from dover saddlery? Hmm:werd:

It's called "giving back to the community" and "sharing" ;)

Tom...you were on the phone to them just before I called...lol..I called the Wellsley store....I was just curious to if it was the same ...I have PW foam guns but wanted to see ...they are calling me back later ..I was told it was a different product than shown in the picture...but she was not real sure...she is checking...they may have to honor Brandons order if its not the same product shown....we'll see when they call

OK, thanks for the warning, Al. If the thing is a POS, I ain't buyin' it.

I'm gonna print out their web page with the picture and have it with me. The sales girl indicates they have several products of this type...we'll see
.

Well, all I know is that they better give me what was in the pic seeing that that was the model # and pic in the magazine, and 2 of their CS reps told me that was the product I was getting.

I dont need no horse shampoo, come to think of it, I dont need a foam gun, but I want one.:bounce

Guys, I think we should halt all action on this...I just had a message from a little birdie that told me this isn't what we think it is....waiting for verfication...

Well, be sure to let me know so I can take the proper action against dover saddlery to get either the right pic up on the site to avoid confustion.

Even though 2 CS reps told me that is what it was.

I called the Dover shop near me....what I was told it was the wrong picture and Corp was going to fix it..what they told me it was is a hose end sprayer filled with the horse soap....on a good note if that is in fact true what see said...I think Brandon has a legit gripe to get what he seen on the page if they send something different...

Now the lady I spoke to was not the sharpest tack in the box...so she had to call me back to comfirm what see told me after she called Central...

so if you do call to order..aks questions...like a variable diltuion ratio...have them look online and say thats what I want...

Brandon..hang in there..you will get it....even if they send the wrong one you will get what you ordered in the pic..you have a legit reason to get it....

but any one else...call and ask if thats the one you get.....

I spoke with Straight Arrow's product mgr. She doesn't believe Dover Saddlery ever sold the "deluxe foam gun" and it's definitely not priced at $16. She said the item they're selling is just a cheezy fertilizer type sprayer you'd use on the garden to apply Miracle Gro, etc.

She did give three references for folks that do retail the deluxe unit:

Stagecoach West

Horse Supplies, Horse Products, Equine Products, Equine Supplies

and a store called "Tractor Supply that's located along the east coast".

(She said Dover Saddlery was notified about the bogus picture a while ago.)

I have the exact same thing from Gilmour. As Zoran said, it is the Foamaster II. The dial metering is recommended by Gilmour for automotive use because it is more resistant against harsher cleaning chemicals (Setec :bigups). The dial clicks nicely and it is easy to use. The foaming ability is the same as of the brass slider version.

For 15 bucks it is a steal.

Easily the best post in the thread was when it was asked whether he was going to clay the horse after washing it...

OK, in an attempt to add a little bit of levity to an otherwise somber situation, how 'bout some befores and afters!!??

I guess this is just one more proof to the old, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" maxim.

On a positive note, I heard that horse shampoo doesn't strip wax will leave your car smelling faintly of freshly cut hay.
