Infinity G37S ~ Kevin Brown Method with 10 Layers of Zaino!!!

There has been a lot of talk lately about letting KSG cure for 24 hours before the next application. My question is, do you guys who do this, buff off the haze, then wait 24 hours and apply another layer, or, do you just apply and wait 24 hours and remove the residue?

here's what I do, haha.

I get home, inspect any dust on my car (car's been in the garage all week), wisk that away ever so slightly (there hasn't been much). Then I apply another coat of SG. Then go do something else then just before going to bed, I dust off the car, wash my face, brush and floss my teeth, etc and do that all over again next week. I've been doing it all week :D

I have not been letting it cure for 24hrs. Once I get a layer off, I just can't seem to wait to put another on.

Pleased with the performance so I guess it works for me.:D

I do the entire car and let it sit for an hour or two and wipe it off. I wait until the next day for the next layer. I'm very happy with these results.

I don't have the time to let cars I detail cure with Klasse Sg so I,

1. Apply thinly and wait 20-45 minutes to dry

2. Remove

3. apply another coat, let dry

4. remove

5. and so on until I reach the desired coatings.

I don't think I may be layering but I know its there somewhere haha

I don't apply more than 2 coats at a time of the SG. I usually wait a week between applications due to time more than anything. I do 2 coats then drive it around. A week later I wash it again and apply another 2 coats. I lost track of how many I have. I think it is around 10 or 12. Now I just put a coat of the Pinnacle paste glaz every other week. My car has never been so slick. :D

Letting the Sealant Glaze cure 24 hours is probably best. However, like many others I've often just applied another coat within the same day. Great results. But if I had to recommend something, I'd say wait 24 hours. Laters.

I have found that the longer you wait, the better. Waiting more than 24 hrs is impratical and un-needed though. I have waited overnight (about 10 hrs) and got great results.

The owner of this vehicle contacted me immediately after taking delivery when he noticed that his brand new car had a pretty decent case of wash induced dealer swirls. Even though he insisted that the dealer not prep the car, it was too late. Regardless, the owner was confident that I could easily correct this issue and dropped the car off at my place for the weekend so I could give it the Full Monty of New Car Preps.

Started with a healthy wash of Dawn followed by Auto Magic Blue Clay Magic via ONR. Here?s some befores:

Here's the e-mail I just received from the owner:

Dave,

Just a note to tell you how pleased I am with the work you did on my Infiniti over the weekend. We had some full sun this afternoon after the rain finally ended, and I can't find a single swirl anywhere on the vehicle. It looks absolutely flawless, and I appreciate all the work you did to make sure it was perfect. I don't know what is considered a 100% correction, but it can't be much better than this!

Thanks again for making my car "new".

Craig

David..... The car looks amazing!

I'm a big fan of layering sealants!

I had over 50 coats of Z2/Z5 on my black GTP (before I sold it to my son and it never saw another car wash in it's miserable life!!!:banghead:) I never polished that car in 5 years; I just kept layering Zaino. It always looked great... with hardly any swirls.:out::biggrin:

IMO, with every coat/layer it just keeps looking better and slicker.

Excellent correction and results!

Beautiful, flawless, job, David !! I love that Infiniti color it is so pretty in the sun.

Tell us more regarding the L/C thinmint pads please !

I also like to finish with a L/C white and Menz PO85RD - It just works so good fo rme too..

Thanks for sharing your beautiful work !!

Beautiful work as usual David!:notworthy:

Would you mind if I asked you, why so many layers of Zaino? There are so many people that say after 2 coats, it is a waste of product. Obviously, you are one talented detailer, and know what you are doing. Is it just Zaino that you would layer like this, or other sealants as well?

It is no wonder why the owner was so pleased.
