If you could live anywhere...

Tdekany, I appologize if I made you uncomfortable. I was simply making a point that Massachusetts possesses a very liberal mentality about ALOT of things, not just gay marriage. Moreover, I don't think it's fair for you to make assumptions that I dislike or don't respect gays as parents. Good grief, how did you come to that conclusion? In summation, I don't feel that an automotive detailing website is the place to engage in a philisophical discussion of social issues such as this.

You didn't make me feel uncomfortable. I am into my wife (:D) but I agree with you. How liberal a state is... it isn't for a detailing BB.

But you brought it up :nana: :nana:

Hmmm, I'm sick of So Cal as well. But.......every time I check the weather in other places it does give me pause.

I hate the desert and don't like really cold temps either. Those Montana pics look VERY inviting.

Two houses on each coast sounds like a good, but not cheap solution. I happen to like CA, just wish so many others didn't like it too!

suprisely not one vote for florida. And that's where I'm moving to in Sept. 2007. I know about the hurricanes but I just so sick of the winter here in MI that I have to get out. People here sit in their homes for 3-4 months out of the year just to stay out of the cold. What a waste; not for me. Been here all my life; time to go.

Winter is just plain stupid! (Whatever that means).

The CA people want to move to CO... the CO people are bored and want to move to CA... those of us in the colder climates want to move where it's warm all the time... those living in warm climates are tired of the lack of seasons so want to move to colder climates...

I think I need to win Lotto and have homes in 20 different places... but then I'd be tired of all the traveling and want to settile in one place AND THEN WHAT DO I DO.. OH MY GOD... I... I... ITHINK I'M GOING INSANE!!! HEEEEEEELP!

Yup Anchorage AK is the place to be. Contrary to popular belief, the sun doesn't set for the entire winter--thats the interior of the state only--we get it as much as the northern states. The summers get to mid-80's and the sun is up 20 hours so you can play midnight golf. We don't get as cold as many of the northern states including CO in the winter--our winter is just longer. We also get paid to live here. Remember all those crazy things you hear about AK are not really about Anchorage but wayyy up North. I came up here in 1999 with the military and decided to get out and stay cause I love it.

I have no complaints about the weather, its the traffic and population explosion that is ruining it for me here in CA.

I would love to move to a different place in the world like every five years. Trouble is, I love being close to family and I don't think I would enjoy the work involved with finding jobs, moving crap, etc. that would go with it. Maybe if I get lucky and somehow become wealthy, we can have a winter home in a different area every couple of years.

OH! Thought of my absolute dream place to live. Not much of a job market I imagine though. Personally, I love Pismo Beach/Oceano/San Luis Obispo area of CA. Gorgeous area.

As much as I don't like Michigan winters in the city I would love to move to northern Michigan and be on a small lake with some property. Give me small boat to fish from in the warm weather and a snowmobile or ATV to play with in the winter and I would be happy. My dream is to live on the water.

That will be retirement or if I hit the lotto or something though. LOL

I like where I live in Kentucky. Ive traveled a decent amount, and Ive never been to another place that I liked more. I must say that I like the mountains.

I'd rather live in Florida I guess, or maybe California. I hate cold weather! The weather here is so up and down....one day it is 15 degrees with ice and the next it's storming and 75. Summers are too hot and Memphis humidity is the worst! I'd like to live in a more even keel year-round climate, where the temperature variances are more like 60-90, than 15-110. Plus, in Florida (or Cali :D), we'd be closer to Disney so I wouldn't have to drive forever to take the wife all the time.

We just went through that same decision about a year ago...and we picked AZ. If I didn't have to work in the valley, I would have moved farther out. But I still love it!

funny you say that, were a month away from closing on our house and i do believe the winner is arizona, ive been all over the state growing up, want the climate and can put up with heat. i was there the day it reached 124 degrees, i don't remember if it was 88 or 91 but our ac broke on our motor home and our tires were sticking to the road, so were my shoes, i'd have to leave town a while if the weather man predicts stuff like that.
