If At First You Don't Succeed, Try, Try Again.....

I think V1's new design is what put it ahead of Escort's sensitivity. It looks a lot nicer tha the older model too!

I am probably going to order one and do my own comparison testing. One or the other will end up in my wifes car even though my son has been drooling over it.....

Mike finally got some true competition and revised the V1 accordingly. The new version looks much better imo, although Mike still feels that overall length and weight are issues. Personally the thickness and width are more important to me. The new version addresses these issues however. I am sure that there must be internal improvements as well but these are really not addressed in any detail on his website. My biggest contention with my old V1 was the number of false alarms I received, it looks as though he may have addressed this based on the new car and driver test.

I find it interesting that he does not address the improvements in his ad within the magazine. Could it be that he does not want to upset customers with the older design. If I still had my V1 the new case would be my first upgrade. Something tells me that only internal upgrades are available although I could be wrong.

I went throught the upgrade process and almost did it but basically you send in your old one they send you a new one...no upgrading just replacement.
