Less said:Why is that so hard to believe? If someone owns a detail shop, wouldn't it be logical that they took 5 seconds to type "car detailing" into google at some point in their lives and came across this website.
Fact is, the "hacks" are out there, and they are not completely oblivious. Plenty of them are on this forum, and others. They are all over the Click & brag's and the "Pro Details" section. Just because someone is a member of Autopia doesn't automatically make them a certified A-level detailer.

A couple of the people in my department had their cars done and they'd all come back with terrible swirl marks on them. But those same people would have them sent out to the same shop again once or twice a year. The hoods were just awful. I asked one guy why he kept paying them to mess up his car so bad. His reply "that is what a car looks like after it is detailed, that is just they way they end up". They really thought that it was how you could tell it had been polished....

wax works is a nice little shop, mostly CG products, but he has great prices, and is extremely friendly. My friends and I talked with him for a good hour.
