I ruined my "wet look" by topping it

"And now for something compleatly different" Monty Python

Iâ€â„¢m not so sure that the â€Ëœdistortionâ€â„¢ of a Carnauba wax comes from an inherent lack of clarity but from its closed link molecules, which form an egg-grate type (with the long axis vertical) mesh over the smaller paint molecules of the paint film surface, which gives it an optical depth, as the light is reflected at different angles it produces the so-called distorted or jetting ( â€Ëœwet-lookâ€â„¢).

I will say that I wouldn't waste my money purchasing a Zaino Clay bar though. I can't remember which member in here posted pictures, but they posted the pics of a Z bar and a Mothers bar side by side. They were still in the packaging. They were the SAME clay bay. :shocked

You would think that buying Mothers would be cheaper, but amazingly, in this situation getting the Z bar would probably suit us better. :woot: The Zaino package comes with (2) 80 gram bars while the Mothers packages comes with (1) 80 gram bar along with a 4 ounce bottle of wax and a 16 ounce bottle of QD and they're both priced $16.95.

I understand where Mothers is going with their clay package because the majority of the detailing public does not have any QD or even know what it is. And I believe they also want to emphasize that one needs to follow up a clay session with wax.

So I guess it might be wrong to say that the Z clay is a better value because for the average Joe detailer, the extra goodies you get with the Mothers clay package might come in handy.

Also, it's not surprising that both claybars are identical considering that most clay bars come from the same place. Unless you buy directly from the company holding the patent on clay, pretty much all of it is just relabeled stuff coming from the same place.

Explain to me what part of this sentence you don't understand?

Let me appoligize too in your style. I guess I may have got the idea you were being critical of me for no reason. If you weren't, then I apologize. Now that all the Apologies are handed out lets be friends. :sadwavey:

Exactly! And Clay Magic is seeing to that since they own the original patent. They've sued a lot of companies and always win.

Hey montoya- I've read on Autopia that a strong solution of car wash, maybe 2x the normal strength, will remove most carnaubas. I have no experience with Souveran but I've also read it is not the most durable. You may want to give that a try before removing most, or all, of your hard work with AIO. You probably still wouldn't affect the Zaino very much. Just a suggestion.
