I need a zaino expert

Your are completely wrong with your attitude comment. What I am saying is it is a matter of semantics and definition. You cannot think of Zaino in the traditional terms of other companies product lines. If you think about the context of the product and it's function, it should be pretty clear.

Why can you not think of Zaino in the traditional terms of other companies' product lines when Zaino's product lines are very similar to other companies'? It would make more sense for Zaino to call their polishes what they are -> Sealants.

I have developed a way to speed up the process, increase my production and maintain and incredibly high quality finished product. It is a shame more people don't think a little more out of the box, and take advantage of the tools staring them in the face.

I had the initiative, and motivation to figure out a better way to do something, experimented, developed a technique that is safe, cuts my time spent on each car, deliver a quality detail, and get comments to the effect of "there is no way anyone can do that." Hmmm, with that attitude we would all still be watching 6" B&W TV's with rabbit ears, or still putting wood in the stove for cooking, instead of pushing a couple of buttons on the microwave.

The above would be the attitude that craigtd is referring to.

I do have an attitude over my technique, so don't ask.

I am out of here, I stumbled across this post by accident, and thought I would help someone that could use my Zaino experience. But it has turned into a pissing contest, so there is no reason to continue.

Since you're in such a rush to leave, let me help you along with a little timeout for generally being rude, and pushing the envelope of our spam policies (pro detailers are allowed to post their business names in their signature . . . product vendors ARE NOT).

Enjoy your two weeks in the box, and expect your signature to be changed.

Odd question here but has anyone really ever met Sal Zaino? If you do a search there are no pics of the guy, no where on any forums has anyone, as far as I know, posted pictures of him. No pics of his shop or warehouse.

A conspiracy thought would be that Sal is a make believe persona, much like Santa represents Christmas, Easter bunny easter, tooth fairy missing childrens teeth, etc. Then again I could be totally wrong and my apologies for the hi-jack.

Carry on,

Anthony

I've talked to Sal on the phone a few times. Have seen pics of him somewhere, maybe on the corvette forum.

Exactly Bryan, all I read about is people who have talked with him on the phone but never met him personally.

I don't doubt there is someone people talk with but is it a real guy named Sal Zaino? Can't find any pics of him which is odd. You think he would go to car shows, be interviewed, yadda yadda.....just and odd thought that struck me, no big deal really.

A few years ago Sal came to one of my classes incognito, afterwards we went out for dinner to talk about what else? Cars and Car Wax!

We had our picture taken together but Sal likes his privacy so out of respect for his wishes I'm not going to post it to the forum.

I could put it up for auction on eBay? :think2

Nah.... :lol

Super nice guy, the kind of guy you'd want for a neighbor and you could trust him with your car...

:)

Joe, I checked on the GQ deal.....I have not been able to find any such cover. It would be interesting to see, do you know what issue?

I have been told by others they have met him personally but again never seen any pics of him. You would think a google search would draw up a pic somewhere but so far nothing. Nothing from car shows, events, Facebook, could Sal really be Jimmy Hoffa?:think2
