I just ordered Vintage

haha no. I dont have class on friday, im sick, and its cold so i cant work on the car.. I have nothing better to do .. the dishes are done, the floors are cleaned... this is it.... waiting.. well this and homework but still :2thumbs:

I think he's probably got the block of ice already, and just doesn't want to admit it. Heck, he's probably been using Royale since it hit the market. ;)

ohh,. also for those who use vintage. What contanor do you use when actully waxing. i was thinkin of scooping some out into an old zymol contanor.. might as well keep it in the family. The only problem is it has a small crack... hmm i wonder if zymol will sell me an empty contanor..ok back to the question. what do you put it in while doing the actual waxing?

I use the actual block of ice. I know alot of people use other containers, but I don't have a suitable one. My block of ice fits nicely on a shelf while I wax, then goes back down to the cold storage room in the basement when I'm done.



OMG, I love my Vintage... I don't regret the purchase one bit.



And my wife... bless her... she came home the other day and said that she had noticed that her car wasn't beading as well at the touchless wash, and could I possibly put another coat of Vintage on her car for her? I teared up.
 
DAMN MAN you still haven't gotten that stuff. I better put an order in too even though im not tempted to buy any who knows maybe in six months when it arrives i will have changed my mind.

Heh heh, what would I do with it :D No way I'd change the stuff I'm using on the vehicles I'm driving these days. My painter told me that my Jag mechanic got some of my parts in, so maybe it'll be coming home before too long. Same painter has fit the RX-7 into his schedule, needs some work on places that nobody sees.

How long did it take for the beading to drop off and how many layers were on there?

I only Vintage'd the Sequoia one time. It was either the last week of May or the first week of June.



So a good three months of durability, during the summer heat on gold metallic paint. I'd say that's pretty darn good for a carnauba LSP. Especially for just one application.



That one layer saw a road trip to the desert heat (115 during the day for three days), thunderstorms, washings, and more heat.

Not a bit. I've heard people talk about carnauba's "muting the flake" in metallic paints, but I haven't seen it. Maybe my eye isn't sharp enough to see what they're talking about. :nixweiss
